Enjoy our Captain's Quarters apartment overlooking West Grand Traverse Bay. Take a short walk across our very private and quiet park like setting to enjoy your coffee in the waterfront gazebo with views extending 20 miles. Located away from busy roads and traffic so your only morning sounds will be birds and waves. Our Captain's Quarters is a cozy Nautical Museum of antique Great Lakes decor with all the amenities. Close to Suttons Bay, Traverse City, and the wineries of Leelanau Peninsula!
This space is cozy, and private with access to all parts of the property including our flower gardens and vast grounds. If stairs are difficult for you, there are beaches a short drive away, Hendrix beach is on Lee Point Road and Suttons Bay has a beautiful park with beach just 5 minutes drive from our home.

Take our stairway down the bluff (very steep!) to our very private beach where you can relax in the clear blue water with sandy and smooth rock bottom. Enjoy collecting the very prized Petoskey Stones (fossilized coral) that seem to pop up after every storm. Catch trophy bass in waist deep water during June and snorkel out 500 feet to the drop off. Make a campfire on the beach or by the gazebo.
The yard is unfenced so please keep that in mind if you plan to bring pets or children.

We love the water and spend most of our time near or on the water. Great food, music and friends make our adventures the most fun. We love to ride horses, go boating, hiking, kayaking, and antique shopping. We enjoy meeting people and sharing stories and pictures.
