Our AirBnb is just under 1000 yds from the metro, making access very easy. Grocery stores, shops, gyms, and restaurants are all very near. 93 Walk Score ! The home is quiet, professionally cleaned, and has great AC in the summer!

- Please treat the home as you would your own. We do have a professional cleaning service, but please maintain a clean space & tidy up after yourself - thanks!
- No Smoking. No parties. We also like to maintain a QUIET HOUSE. If you are not looking for a quiet and calm space, another house may be a better option.
- We remove shoes in the home as to not bring it a mess from outside.
- You are welcome to use the washer & dryer with provided soap - please plan to use these before 10 pm as to not disturb any early sleepers.

I would not recommend that people stay here. I signed the contract with Lynn as the host. You will be dealing with Bill, Lynn's boyfriend, who is impulsive and quick to anger. I found dealing with Bill to be bizarre and a bit disturbing. If you have a legitimate problem and you ask Bill to fix it, he will talk about the value of his home or how close the Residence Inn is if you wish to leave. And if you do not have a problem, Bill will invent one and verbally berate you. The low price for the rental was not worth the drama and worry. When I first arrived I was in the basement. The kitchen was poorly equipped: there were no plates, only one stove pan (for pasta), and an oven that was too small for normal pans and had to be manually lit. When I inquired that this was not acceptable, Bill moved me upstairs where there was a better kitchen. I appreciated his willingness to put me in another room. Unfortunately, it went downhill fast. The room I was in had a broken mattress and a collapsed wooden Futon frame. When I told Bill about this problem, he texted me that I could go stay at the Residence Inn 500 yards down the road. He says this to any tenant who has a legitimate grievance. The fan always ran when the room light was on and Bill promised to fix this yet never did. A few days later, he installed some new slats, but the bed still needs to be replaced. Bill likes a clean and quiet house. I thought this would fit me well. I always cleaned my dishes and went to bed early since I woke up early for work. Nonetheless, Bill manufactured excuses to berate tenants about the kitchen or noise. One Monday I noticed that no water was coming out of the sink faucet. When I asked Bill about this, he came downstairs and fixed it. He then noticed one renter had left food in a rice cooker. He began verbally berating both me and the other tenant and used racial pejoratives against the man. The next day Bill texted me at work stating that I was being loud, leaving the kitchen dirty, and "using the kitchen too much." I asked for examples since I had not cooked recently. I also asked whether or not "using the kitchen too much" violated the Airbnb agreement. He swore and threatened me over text messages but could not substantiate his accusations. He just kept saying that the rules were the rules. That evening I talked with him in person and he again could not substantiate his claims. He also accused me of using his aluminum foil, which is weird because I had bought and been using my own for the majority of my stay. The following day I spoke with Lynn in-person. She said she did not know what provoked Bill. She said this...

Questions i have for Jason 1.We do not understand why this guest read reviews on the place, booked our Airbnb and decide upon arriving that they weren't happy ? Aren't the multitude of reviews by former pleased guests enough of a guideline ? Weren't the more than twenty others who have stayed and each has been satisfied and quite pleased enough of a basis of Airbnb selection ? 2. Why, after offering the guest another nigher priced option, did this guest then start complaining about the bed, which is, by the way a new $400 bed all with new bedding. 3. Why, when we offered the guest this new option to move to another place in our Airbnb and even offered a full refund for unused time, and all through Airbnb did the guest say,"No i like it here so i do not want to move." 4. We are not clear as to why our other two guests complained of the excessive noise of this guest and to the extent that the were very discouraged, not to mention this guest's use of all of the house ammenities! Milk was used and left on the counter. Large tupperware bowls were left dirty lying around the sink. Food fallen on the ground. 5. Yes current appraisal of the house is well over $1.2MM because of the great location. We just invested $55,000 in a new gourmet-kitchen upgrade and we did not appreciate food being thrown around and things left on the floor. 6. If we are such bad hosts then why have our other more than 20 guests all stayed happily and with no problem ? (Please read all our reviews). 7. Again, Jason, if you were not happy with not one Airbnb option but two we provided, why did you not take all the money as offered and move to another place ??? Huh ? One last question, could your anger as expressed in this scribe be that of a bitter guest who is all the more angry as he has moved from a very nice and well situated Airbnb and into an inferior option ? Wouldn't it appear that someone that was happy with their new place and glad to be out of a place that was not good would not dig into the former host with such hostility ? The room has a private entrance and the kitchen/bathroom/laundry is right next to it. Very private and intimate which was great, and plenty of space to move around. Train is about 12 minute walk and grocery store and CVS right around the corner. It should be stated that the room is only inclusive of the downstairs access. You really wouldn't need to go upstairs but one day I was waiting for a while for the restroom, and another tenant did tell me (who was staying upstairs) that I could use the upstairs one. Bill told me it wasn't allowed unless it was an emergency, and also stated that it was pretty clear in the description. Someone also continued to slam the bathroom door at night when shutting it, and a sign was put up stating, "shut the door quietly or leave". Then I had my window open at one point and was told to shut it (it was hot), and open my door if I wanted fresh air. The conversation seemed condescending in my opinion and the excessive signs seemed adolescent. Overall great experience and would recommend!

Lynn was super friendly and helpful. The house was clean and the accommodations were great. Would definitley recommend.
