I am reachable by phone or email, but I'll also put you in touch with my housemates who are extremely kind and helpful.
I grew up in Charlottesville Virginia, a beautiful little city surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. I then spent 3 wonderful years in Providence Rhode Island working on my MFA in acting and moved to New York 2 years ago. I've lived in Brooklyn for over a year now and I love it.
I am an actress and maker. I am the founding member of a theater company here in NYC that brings shows to non-traditional audiences in homeless shelters, low income senior centers and prisons throughout the five boroughs.
I am also an avid cook and baker and firmly believe that a homemade pie is the simplest and best way to share love. When I travel to a new city I always have a bakery on my list of places to visit. My bookshelf is full of cookbooks I've collected in these adventures: The Back In The Day Bakery in Savannah, Flour Bakery in Boston, Tartine, Miette, and Bi-Rite Creamery in San Francisco, Hoosier Mama Pies in Chicago. The list goes on.
I love to read and try to match a new adventure with the right book—a summer in Maine might be spent revisiting Surfacing by Margaret Atwood, or a road trip around the Midwest could be paired with Rick Moody's Hotels of North America. A quick trip to Brazil to a family wedding is the perfect occasion to read The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat.
My home is clean, sunny, warm, and welcoming; a space shared by devoted friends. Our household is made up of artist and extremely hard workers who prize a nourishing, positive and comfortable home environment.
