Enjoy the most beautiful beach of Corfu here in Acharavi. Anemone apartment at Cressida seaside apartments enjoys a superb location directly on the sandy beach of St. George's bay, and only 300 meters from the center of the small town Acharavi. It is an exquisite, small and comfortable resort addressed to those who know how to choose and want to avoid mass tourism.

Acharavi is a lively little town with lots of bars, cafes and tavernas. All its commercial activity is concentrated around the main road. It has all you need: supermarkets, bakeries, speciality food shops, pharmacies, cafes, tavernas, bars, doctors, banks, rental cars, rent bicycles etc. Acharavi is not only a summer town but also remains busy throughout the year.
Beach: The unique coastal landscape of northern Corfu and the gently sloping 6 km long sand beach is ideal for long walks. It is Corfu’s most beautiful beach with wonderful sunrises and sunsets. Walking to the east you will pass Gelina Village with the only remaining sand dunes in the area and lovely sea lilies. Walking to the west you will reach Nissos the "island" that you can reach on a small bridge.
Mountain biking: During the past decade cycling and in particular mountain biking has seen a remarkable increase in popularity both among locals and tourists and is now possible to hire very decent bikes and choose to make your own routes or join one of the many organised trips.
The best time of the year is late spring and early summer with very mild temperatures and no rain to speak about, summer is also good if you avoid the peak of the day.
Even if you are just a moderately fit cyclist, cycling is one of the most enjoyable ways to discover the delights of Corfu. The island has a good road system which means that nearly all of the most beautiful parts of the island are within easy reach for a day’s ride. Away from the main roads there are quiet lanes through beautiful green countryside, olive groves and traditional Corfiote villages.

Using Cressida Seaside Appartments as your holiday base, the whole of the north and most beautiful part of Corfu is on your doorstep.
Hiking: Northern Corfu is a wonderful destination for hiking. The rolling hills and mountains combined with the glimmering sea create an unmatched sense of peace and serenity. The North Corfu walking region extends over the entire Pantokrator Massif (apart from the narrow North East Coast strip between Barbati and Kassiopi), and incorporates the wide coastal plain of Acharavi as well as the wetlands around Lake Antinioti. Its western boundary is the Roda - Troumpetta road through Agii Douki and Xanthates.
Windsurfing and sailing: There are steady northwesterly winds for a couple of hours in the afternoon which makes the beach ideal for windsurfing. In 300 meters from the apartments there are available windsurfing and sailing facilities, where classes are also provided.
Waterpark
For the young guests there is a lovely waterpark with slides in the Gelina Village hotel nearby . It is accessible to our guests, just 300 meters from the main road

Sightseeing:Northern Corfu offers a lot of sightseeing for those who do not want to spend all day on the beach. The area is full with picturesque vibrant or abandoned medieval Venetian villages, Byzantine churches and Castles and ancient Greek and Roman ruins.
The Villages on the mountain Pantokrator are easy to reach by car within 10 minutes to half an hour. Old Peritheia from the Venetian era was the old centre of the northeast and used to be a vibrant village in the 1970s before touristic development made the inhabitants move nearer to the sea to New Peritheia. Old Peritheia is abandoned now and it definitely worth a visit with old large stone mansions and more than ten churches all in a Venetian Corfiot style.
In complete contrast to the abandoned Old Peritheia, Nymphes is a vivid village with 1,500 inhabitants, the administrative centre of the Venetian era in the area. Visit the forgotten small monastery in the middle of the olive groves dated from the 13th century. The name "Nymphes" comes from the Nymphs situated in a small valley with running streams and has been inhabited since the ancient times. Its main church has been built with marble stones from the Apollo Temple on the same place.
Episkepsi is a lovely village with old distinct houses. Take the road from Agios Martinos and go up to Strinilas and then to the top of the mountain Pantokrator. There used to be a Monastery which is covered now by new church constructions but the view on a clear day is unsurpassable. You will be able to see the whole of Corfu.
Going west you will come to the old village Karousades with houses in the old traditional architecture, like Kavalouri or Agrafoi. If you do not want to visit the packed and touristic Sidari and the famous "Canal d'Amour" have a drink in the Sunset bar in Peroulades situated on a breathtaking site.
If you feel adventurous go to Agios Stefanos to take a little ferry that goes to the tiny islands of Erichousa, Mathraki and Othonoi, the most northern part of Greece. All islands offer places to stay and nice taverns.
Further West you can visit the lovely village of Afionas with two marvellous taverns overlooking the bay of Agios Georgios ton Pagon (the Bay of St George of Ice).
Churches. In all villages there are old Byzantine churches and orthodox churches from the Venetian times. Many of them have precious murals and the priests and local administrators keep them locked. If you find one open, enter and respect it.
Greek and Roman ruins. There are ruins from the ancient and Roman times everywhere. In Acharavi, you will find baths of a Roman villa. Hidden and surrounded by houses is the Temple of Hera, the wife of Zeus and protector of the family in Roda.
Castles. The main standing castle of northern Corfu is that of Kassiopi, a small town 15 minutes by car from Acharavi. Kassiopi is very touristic but fun to visit.

The anemone apartment is small, but comfy and clean. The big advantage of this place is Maistro restaurant just next door. Dimitri was very helpful with transfer from and to the airport. Thank you once again.

Pozdrawiam gospodarza i przemiłą Panią Kali :)

The flat was lovely. From the photos, we thought we would be on the 1st floor (2nd for Americans), but the Anemone was on the ground floor. With that said, we were actually quite pleased with the mix-up! Being able to walk straight out into the yard and then straight to the beach was really nice! The balconies were so pleasant for a little post-beach drink and snack. The beach right outside the building was the best area on the entire stretch. The waves were great for playing in, and the free lounge chairs and umbrellas were amazing. The restaurant next door was really good, and the staff was so sweet. We are coming back!
