Once upon time.... my parents, brother and I immigrated to America. I was born in Wiesbaden, Germany of a mother who was born and raised in Bordeaux, France and the father born in Prague and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. Both sets of grandparents were from Russia. English was my 4th language. As a child at home we spoke French, Russian and a little bit of German. I traveled and lived in many parts of the world. Being that the travel bug was already instilled in my blood, I made sure I entered into an industry that provided me with the opportunity of travel through seeking employment with major airlines and travel agencies.
Twenty-one years ago I fell in love with this heavenly area of Western North Carolina and purchased this century old family home which now I have the pleasure and privledge to call home. To share this 1910 historic home with others, in 1995 I opened a bed and breakfast and hosted guests until 2014. At that time I was forced to close to have two major surgeries and it did take time to recover.
Well I'm up and at it again, you can't keep me down. I look forward to meeting and hosting the many interesting guests again like I had in the past. Part of having this lovely home for people to stay in Franklin, is the enjoyment of meeting folks for all walks of life and from all over the world! Truly you learn so much from others.
I enjoy getting myself involved and trying many different things some of which are doing my artwork projects, enjoying my friends, reading, traveling when time permits, some gardening, and taking care of my pets (which they reside in my home quarters) my furry children DO NOT have run of the house....please be assured. Never a dull moment around here I must say! So please give Blaine House a try as I resume my duties of hosting wonderful guests once again!
The Blaine House motto:
Providing a wealth of Southern Hospitality and
A Touch of Simple Elegance accented with Comfort in Mind
will make your Home Stay at this Century Old-Home quite complete!
