I'm sorry to hear that you didn't feel the Marriott Desert Springs venue was appropriate for your Coachella experience. That said, I do respectfully disagree with your assertion that the Marriott Desert Springs Villas are not ideal for Coachella as we have many guests who stay with us each year for this event and we only get high reviews for the services and amenities at this resort. Moreover, thousands of other guests sell-out this venue during the Coachella timeframe each year.
I would like to rebut some of your comments. I did verify with Airbnb that we very clearly stated in the "Booking" section of our listing that the Marriott Desert Springs Villas are a non-smoking venue and also that there were no parties allowed.
Moreover, we never represented the Villas as a hotel as it is a timeshare (but is still operated like a hotel). Regardless, every professionally run venue (hotel or timeshare) has standards for noise, whether music or from some other source. If your group was in violation of these standards to ensure that other guests weren't disturbed, then it was appropriate for Marriott to contact you about that matter.
Third, the cleaning fee is not intended to pay for interim cleaning while you are staying there. The cleaning fee is to cover the cost of cleaning your unit after you depart as is customary.
Lastly, if for whatever reason you were dissatisfied with your experience, I left you my contact information to resolve any misunderstandings. Unfortunately, I never heard from you during your stay so I was unable to resolve any issues that you may have had.
We take great pride in guiding our guests through the booking process and ensuring that all our guests have a great experience so they become repeat guests.
