Über dieses Inserat

My place is a 10 minute walk to West End, the beach , restaurants and dining . The nicest feature of my cabana is the peaceful feeling of overlooking the jungle and viewing the Caribbean, it is very private and tranquil. Everything is brand new. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

My partner and I could not have asked for better hosts than George and his girlfriend Arleth. Both were more than just good hosts but lovely people who did more than we could have asked for. If it wasn't for their help in suggestions of what to do, where to go, and what to see (and tourist traps to avoid), we wouldn't have had the beautiful experiences we did in Roatan. If you are looking for a resort like experience in which you are catered to and never leave the beach or hotel you're staying in, this is not the place for you. If you love adventure and nice secluded haven to come home to at night and wake up to in the morning, this is the place for you. The high placed cabana has a view to die for and is about a 15 minute walk to West End beach and restaurants which we enjoyed because we were not always surrounded by the hubbub of drinking and music all night. George also has a scooter he very affordably rents out which transformed our trip as we were able to see the entire island and stopped in many memorable places Arleth and him suggested for us, all of which exceeded expectation. There is a full kitchen with gas stove and oven, definitely enough to cook at home as we often had meals at home. The deck of the cabana is by far it's best feature with a hammock and chairs to sit and drink morning coffee or meditate; even a yoga mat that George let me borrow to complete my morning routine. The shower doesn't seem to get hot but very quickly when showering at the day's end you will be thankful for that as you'll be so hot and it will feel great. George also keeps purified water to drink in the cabana and clean sheets and towels whenever you need them. He also let us borrow snorkel gear to avoid paying to rent it or have someone take us snorkeling so we did it on our own by the reef is West Bay which was unreal. Arleth and George also joined us for dinner a few times and it was great to get to know them. They were both always readily available by phone () if we ever needed anything and were extremely gracious. Only wish we could have stayed longer as Roatan was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been full of all different cultures and communities and people. This cabana and its owners really know how to make you feel at home and I recommend it to anyone thinking of coming to the great island of Roatan :)

Nice little house up on the hill. 10 minutes walk from West End, in the Main Street. We had a warm welcome from George, he wanted to be sure our stay was great!

George`s place was amazing as well as whole communication with him since beginning, me, my father an my sis, we all enjoyed this well deserved family vacay. We had a lot of questions prior our arrival, especially for car rental or taxis. As soon as we landed, taxi driver awaited us, who took us to George`s house, his girlfriend greeted us and showed us the place where we will stay. The place is about 15 mins by walk from West End. To every one who is heading to Roatan, I would suggest to check following link to avoid crowded dates when cruise ships are about to arrive also after we rent a car for couple days, I can for sure suggest "Thriffty" car rental, with great prices and full coverage insurance "all in". Thank you George & Arleth ;)

This place is a must stay!! George and Arleth really went above and beyond for us! The cabana is SO beautiful and has spectacular views!! It's the perfect location-a 7 min walk from West End where there is tonnes to do, but private and quiet enough to have a little getaway. We will definitely be back and feel so lucky to have landed this beautiful place with just awesome hosts!! HUGE thanks to George and Arleth!!

We loved our stay at George's place. George was beyond hospitable, picking us up from the airport, giving us as much help and advice as we needed. He was great fun and made the cabana feel like our home, yet always respected our privacy. The cabana is up above Georges house so he is on hand but you can feel as isolated as you like. The place itself was great - a ten minute walk/$3 cab ride out of West End. We preferred that as even that ten minute walk allowed us to feel outside of the bubble of the dive shops and restaurants. The rainforest surrounding the cabana is lush and beautiful; importantly the place is high up so there is a constant breeze to keep cool and keep away the mozzies. I guess if a few minute walk up hill is not your thing you may want to consider this, but we liked to walk of dinner and a few beers in the evening and the benefits of being up high in the rainforest are well worth it. The cabana was basic but clean and more than adequate for our needs - a kitchen to make breakfast and coffee, a balcony on which to eat, a comfy bed and a hammock. Cable TV if you like your sport but we didn't spend too much time indoors. When we looked at the price of our stay we thought there must be some unseen problem as it was such incredible value - there isn't. A basic but lovely home away from home with a brilliant host. Can't recommend it highly enough.

George's place is a great place to stay on the island of Roatan. He met us at the airport and drove us over to the house (and called us a cab when we checked out because he was busy). The place has a gorgeous view that overlooks the hills, forest, and the ocean. The house is just under a mile away from the West End shore. This makes for a good 15 - 20 minute walk to get to the dive shops, which makes a decent warm up in the morning. Just keep in mind that the Roatan doesn't really have sidewalks, so you'll be walking on a paved road shared with cars. Getting back at night is pretty easy as we always took a cab. We've heard that the fair price from West End to the white church (the main landmark) is $1 per person but we found no cab driver would be willing to drive a tourist for that cheap and usually ask for $4 - $5 for two people (on one occasion when we were just outside of West End did we pay $3). The house itself is very well kept and clean. The bed was huge (California King I believe). The wifi works well (albeit slower than what we were used to in the US). There is also everything you need to have an extended stay (kitchen, fridge, water, utensils, pots/pans, dishes, stove). The only thing missing in the house was shampoo/body wash but those are widely available in the convenient stores around the island.

Please see our previous review of George's place. We loved everything about staying here, and spending time with George was one of the best parts. He went above and beyond expectation as a host; he even lent us a yoga mat and invited us on some special outings around the island. We just can't say enough good things about our stay and will return as soon as we can!
