Great position with well maintained grounds. Beach frontage fabulous. Issues with aircon not working at times. Seemed to be a power supply issue. Fans did not respond to controls. Apartment maintenance manager unable to repair.

In the past we have typically dealt with Air BnB owners directly and hav had great success. Maui Properties is a rental agency and uses Air BnB as one of its advertising portals - so I feel there is no owner obligation to keep a good standard up, nor do I think they value a good rating as highly as a typical owner/Air BnB user. We have rated the stay poorly because there was an electrical problem with the unit, specifically the water heater which did not work without tripping a breaker, or power to the whole unit. Maui Properties (Agents) only attempted to contact us while we were in the air from LA, travel day. We had already checked in and unpacked when they got hold of us. The offer was for us to move out immediately to a lower quality property (no direct beach or ocean front pool) so they could repair the electrical system for a few days. We would then have to move back in (assuming they finished the repairs) as the back up, lower quality accommodation was also booked later in the week. Given these options we opted to stay in the unit with the breaker problem which after a few days of breaker trips and power cuts meant no hot water for the remainder of the stay. I personally felt pestered by the Agents - texts every day asking about the electrical system, and long explanations on the phone that did nothing to help. The Agents are in Lahaina, about five miles away, but evidently thought a face to face visit inconvenient. Other than that the unit was nice. We made the most of it because the location was very nice and our daughter had made some friends. In closing I will also say that the Agents made no offer of compensation for this gross inconvenience, not even the offer of a meal. I would not use Maui Properties again.

Thank you for your comments, we are sorry that the property was having an electrical problem during your reservation time. We did not have control over the water heater going out and the electrical issues that occurred when it stopped (URL HIDDEN) was the morning of your arrival that we were made aware of the problem. I contacted you the minute I was told that we would need to have additional work to fix the problem. We left a message on your cell phone to call us ASAP once you arrived on island so we could go over options for you, we emailed you as well. We never received a call from you and we were notified by the onsite manager that you had checked in to the condo 2 hours before the 4:00 check in. Since you did not call me I had to speak with you over the phone about the situation. I had hoped to have you come by our office so we could go over alternative options for you. We did offer you a upgraded direct ocean front 2/2 with a direct ocean front pool property. I was very clear that there would be NO hot water and there were electrical issues that we were not sure about and I would have to text you daily to see if anything else had turned off. You were adamant about staying in the unit and did not want to go to a different property and agreed to take my text messages and keep us updated daily if any other issues came up that needed immediate attention. I was very surprised by the comments that you left after the conversation we had concerning all the items you listed in the review were discussed in detail that day. We want to make sure all of our guest are taken care of and we do our very best to move the guest to a comparable unit if something out of our control happens to a property. Maui Paradise Properties

Hands down an incredible experience. Everything was as promised but even better in real life! Excellent views, the complex and amenities were clean and very well maintained. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone - Faith was incredibly gracious and helpful!
