Modern, yet rustic studio with open floor plan designed to comfortably accommodate 2-3 guests. The studio is conveniently located walking distance from Alberta Arts District, Historic Mississippi Ave, and booming North Williams neighborhood. Additionally, it is situated directly in front of an open park which can be used for your morning run or as a general meet up spot. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.

This little studio has so many thoughtful touches. That is very calm, and the kitchen is stocked with some herbs and spices so you can make great meals while you're there. A great little home. It looks like it's all been recently renovated, very tastefully.

My girlfriend and I scheduled a last minute Portland vacation and stumbled upon Norbert's studio (I believe he mentioned that the previous reservation had canceled on short notice). Norbert's space was extremely well thought out and put together. The decor and furnishings were wonderful, and we certainly appreciated all of the information provided for those looking to explore Portland. We were within walking distance of just about anything we could desire (e.g. coffee, breweries, groceries), which made planning our evenings a breeze. I would happily stay again, and will definitely keep my eye on Norbert's studio for future visits.

This rental was on point. Upon arrival, the studio looked identical to the pictures. Very clean and spacious enough for 2. We appreciated the extras (food in the fridge, good quality shampoo/conditioner, washer/dryer, coffee, etc...), but didn't really use any of them. I ate most of the cashews that were in a jar on the shelf near the kitchen. The bed had a memory foam topper so it was comfortable. The patio outside was a bit dirty, but I'm not sure if that's technically part of the rental. The streets around the area are pretty dirty as well, but the location being so close to the Art District was fantastic. We made our way to some stellar restaurants and coffee shops on Alberta Street, and even hit up a few of the cannabis clinics. Would definitely book again!

This Airbnb was really comfortable, clean and quiet. The design and layout is very well thought out and included all the extra touches that make staying away from home a delight. The location was great, close to good restaurants and easy and quick to get into downtown Portland. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Really interesting and fun neighborhood. Lots of great food trucks, cool little bars, and just an amazing little community. Highly recommend touring around on the bikes right around the corner from the house. Norbert's little basement apartment is cute, quiet, clean, and has everything you need. Also, we were a huge fan of the Apple TV. We took short Uber rides down town for nights out in Portland. Book this place, you won't regret it!

The place was immaculate! Norbert is a wonderful host with a keen eye for detail. Everything is just right and perfect. Great location to stay if you want to explore Alberta Art Districts with many cool bars, shops, and restaurants around. I found the mattress to be a bit on the softer side but that's also my personal preference. Norbert has also compiled lists of recommended restaurants, activities, and other hotspots in the House Manual and they are fabulous. Super helpful and great choices!! I'd definitely try to come back and stay here if it's available!

I am a full time engineer that understands that there is more to life than work. I lived in New Orleans for a couple of years but have since moved back to Portland, which has been my home for over 25 years.

I was born in Transylvania (located in modern-day Romania) and moved to the states when I was six years old with my parents and older brother. I speak Hungarian fluently and often daydream about moving back to the small villages of Berete & Nagyfalu.

I keep busy making improvements to my home as well as finding the nearest mountain peaks to summit.
