Beautiful location and lovely open-minded hosts. Whatever you ask for, they will help you. The casa is surrounded by a huge wonderful private park. The family owns four very entertaining dogs. A rich breakfast is included and for a small money you can have dinner with with the family. It’s a very cool atmosphere. We liked it very much!
Very nice, out of the ordinary location. Spacious and lots of nature, animals and even several lakes. Breakfast is served with fresh orange juice and a very special kind of tea, if you are into it. Coffee lovers will also be happy as they provide nice nespresso coffee. In fact you just ask and they will make it happen. Also they have a lot of interesting stories to tell. In short ,they give you a very warm welcome and a home coming feeling.
We did not have the greatest experience as we were 'not expected' despite confirming our arrival time earlier that day, as the hosts had confused dates. Four excitable dogs certainly meant we had a substantial welcome party however. The room itself was large however partially used as storage so not quite as comfortable as expected. Due to confusion with dates the hosts continued with their planned BBQ social that evening, which continued until past midnight. As sound travelled and we have a baby, this was far from ideal. We contacted them in advance about the temperature of the pool so it was hot enough for our baby, as this was one of the main attractions to this visit, however it was much colder than advertised and upon informing the hosts they took no further action about the temperature, meaning we could not use it. There was also a mess in the toilet-bowl in the shared (only) toilet which was not cleaned for hours. Despite being a very friendly family, the combination of all these factors made us quite uncomfortable on our visit, which is a shame.
The house is nice and in a quiet location, but think twice before bringing a pet. The house has 4 dogs — 2 chihuahuas, a small terrier, and a large flat-coated retriever — who were very difficult to deal with. The retriever is not well socialised and tried to hump my dog continually. (He also scratched me to bleed and bruised my wife's arm with his mouthing because he is so desperate for attention.) The little dogs yap. A lot. We basically had to hide out in our room because otherwise their dogs would bother ours non-stop. That would have been fine enough, we're private people, but on our second night the family stayed out until near midnight and their 4 dogs barked in distress the entire evening. It was awful. I could not sleep after a very hard day of bike riding. Also, the mattress was like a hammock with springs poking through it. The toilet is separate and in the hallway, which should be good for privacy, but the host talked to both me and my wife on separate occasions while we were in there taking care of business. Maybe that's cultural, but we found it awkward. I would not return.
