This was a wonderful place! We stayed here for the Penn state game and it was amazing. Extremely cozy and clean. We used the fire pit, sauna, and outdoor shower and it was great. Jessica was extremely accommodating and make sure we had all our needs taking care of.

We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin. It's nice and secluded, so you can enjoy the natural beauty of the area, but is also a convenient trip into State College. Jessica was a terrific host and provided not only the basics, but also lots of nice little extras (like wine, various food items, and marshmallows for toasting on the fire) that made our stay even better. We would definitely love to stay here again!

We had the chance to have a night away without the kids and we could not have found a better place to stay! We loved everything about the cabin. Jessica had kindly got the campfire all ready to be lit so we spent a relaxing evening sitting by the fire before enjoying the sauna and outdoor shower. So relaxing and romantic!

Jess's cabin completely exceeded our expectations. The cabin is clean and beautifully designed in a minimalist, contemporary way while still being homey, warm and comfortable. Jess and Micheal are great hosts - attentive and you can tell that they truly wanted us to have a great experience with every aspect of our trip. Their Adorable dog Jack, a few ducks and a chicken came by for a quiet little visit as we sat by the fire. I can't say enough about the sauna. We will definitely stay there again and we are even inspired now to have our own cabin someday designed like this one! You won't be disapppinted staying here. Well worth the price.

From the very beginning, Jessica was attentive and helpful. Her beautiful cabin had all of the regular amenities, but she went above and beyond with extras that were not expected. The refrigerator was stocked, fresh flowers were on the table, and the outside was set up and ready for a campfire. Unfortunately, it rained during our weekend there, but we were busy at our daughters Penn State graduation for most of the weekend anyway. It was nice to come back to a hot sauna, and a warm comfortable cabin. Thanks for hosting us, Jessica!

An awesome quiet retreat. Sweating it out in the wood fired Swedish sauna each night definitely puts it over the top. Quiet, secluded and well-equipped. I look forward to my next trip to the mountains of western PA.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin while visiting our youngest son in State College and attending a PSU football game and only wish we had had a bit more time to spend relaxing at the cabin that was just as described in the listing. Jessica and Michael had everything prepared for our arrival with a well stocked fridge and pantry and wood ready to light in the sauna and firepit. As another reviewer noted, don't be intimidated by the compost toilet - there was no smell or issue at all - and the outdoor shower warm on a crisp fall morning. The cabin was well suited to 4 guests and the beds very comfortable. It was a gem, well worth the cost and short drive compared to the pricey and crowded hotels on a PSU football weekend.

I am here in our little woods outside of State College with my husband & our four kids, a dog, some cats & chickens & horses. I homeschool our bigger kids in a Waldorf inspired way. My favorite quick get away is to hike our trails through our forest. I love ethnic food, good red wine & riding horses. As much as I love all things natural, a great weekend trip for me is to the city, usually Philadelphia, to enjoy food that I can't get here in State College and go to museums, which I also can't get in State College. I love socializing, but am most restored in nature-- that's why we are sharing our cabin with you: because we know how great we feel
after a weekend rest in the natural space, clean simplicity of the cabin and a night in the sauna.
