Green Mountain Falls has an abundance of wildlife; bear, fox, deer, and mountain lions. Feeding them is extremely dangerous and illegal. Wildlife fed by humans become dependent on that food source and will then cause damage to property and to humans and have to be destroyed. Please enjoy the wildlife from a distance. Also, do not keep food in your car. Bears have been known to break car windows to get to your tasty treats.
Please keep all trash in the bear proof trashcan. Please make sure the lid is screwed on securely. If this can is full, please call for a pickup. Unsecured Trash left outdoors overnight will attract wildlife.

Pets and Smoking
Pets are not permitted. Smoking is not permitted inside the house. If smoking outside, please dispose of cigarette butts. Please do not smoke on hiking trails or extremely dry areas. We love our town and this often dry landscape leaves it extremely vulnerable to forest fires. Fireworks are not allowed within town limits.
Due to the risk of forest fires, all charcoal grills and open flame cooking is banned in Green Mountain Falls. Only propane grills may be used. On days of high fire risk, all outdoor cooking may be banned. Should this happen, it will be announced in the news media. Grills produce grease and attract bears. Please maintain them accordingly. Do not use pots and pans on the gas grill. You may use only on grills side burner.
