Chestnut Cottage is a three-bedroom quaint, characterful and stylish cottage is located in the quiet and rural village of Wyck Rissington, in the heart of the Cotswolds, just 30 minutes drive from Cheltenham. Ideal for families or several couples wanting to explore the wealth of attractions that Gloucestershire has to offer.
The cottage comprises three floors, along with an outbuilding, large garden, terrace with pizza oven, and private driveway with ample parking.
Entering the property via the front door you have access to the hallway leading onto the sitting room. Here you have seating for six across two sofas and an arm chair. There is a log burner for your use, which creates a lovely cosy fire to keep you warm during the winter months. The sitting room is also equipped with a Freeview television. This well decorated, spacious and light room is the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the local area.
A recently renovated and well equipped kitchen with traditional Aga oven (electric) along with all the mod cons required to cook up a feast. These includes a microwave, dishwasher, kettle as well as plenty of surface space. There is also a round table with seating for up to six where you can dine. You also have access through the back door onto the terrace and into the garden where there is outdoor seating and a wood fired pizza oven where you can make authentic pizzas.
There is also a shared downstairs shower room with basin and loo.
The first floor comprises two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles. One bedroom is a twin room ideal for the children. Just a few steps down the landing is a double room with shared luxurious bathroom equipped with traditional large bath, basin, and loo. Both rooms have plenty of natural light, benefit from rural views, and are equipped with space to hang and store your clothes and items.
The second floor has a fantastic bedroom, which can be made up as either a King-sized bed or two twin beds through Zip and Link beds. With Velux windows this room has plenty of natural light whilst remaining cosy and comfortable in the converted top floor of this cottage.
Boasting a spacious garden with plenty of outdoor furniture, a pizza oven as well as a heated outbuilding (with TV and beanbags – perfect for the children!), there is plenty of space to enjoy your stay in an idyllic Cotswold village.
The real beauty of this cottage is its rural and quiet setting with plenty of garden space, a fantastic and well-sheltered terrace, and the convenience of its location, a half-hour's drive from Cheltenham. With an array of fantastic local pubs, picturesque walks, and local attractions, including the famous Cheltenham race course, there is plenty to keep you busy within the area.

The cottage is located in the village of Wyck Rissington, five minutes' drive north of Bourton-on-the-Water.

If you could please do a couple of things prior to your departure it would be much appreciated: - Strip the beds - Take all rubbish out - Make sure all washing up is done - Make sure all windows/doors are securely locked shut - Make sure all the lights are switched off Please use the driveway for parking but we kindly ask that you don't park on the grass.
