You’ll love our home because of its gorgeous setting-paddy fields to one side, a thicket of trees on the other and a landscaped garden on the third. You are surrounded by a verdant Goa year round, within easy driving distance to Panjim (7kms) and Candolim beach (8kms).
Designed as a residence-cum-studio, couples who'd like to getaway and work offsite, or people simply looking for some quiet, while exploring and absorbing the beauty of North Goa. Not suitable for children below 2 years.
The apartment is part of a 2-bedroom, ground-floor unit (neighbouring Porvorim) in North Goa, that can accommodate four adults comfortably.
Part of a residential complex less than 7-years old, it is situated in the very last building in the complex - one that overlooks the rice-fields (planted out during the Monsoon). It has all the advantages of being part of a year-round residential community (security, stable internet connection, grocery store) just off the national highway 17, while enjoying the quiet and views of pastoral Goa.
Our home was recently freshly re-painted, with mesh windows and doors installed to allow a breeze throughout the day, minus visits from the insect world. Furnishing the interiors continues to be a slow and joyful work-in-progress, with a mixture of found, bought and DIY pieces that make up the decor.
The living room opens out onto a balcony ideal for a quiet cup of tea to begin the day, or to watch the setting sun. We particularly enjoy listening to the myriad birdcalls that rend the air, or watch the neighbouring brood of hens, forage. (Keep an eye out for the large yellow-beaked Hornbills!)
A short flight steps off the west side of the balcony gives you private access to the communal lawn and garden.
Hot water in the bathroom is supplied from the solar-heated water tanks on the rooftop. (Please note: the cold water in the pipes will need to allowed to flow for a couples of minutes before hot water comes through).

This is my home and you will be sharing my space for the duration of your stay. If I am travelling, Trisham, my co-host will greet you at the time of check-in and show you around the apartment. He is your go-to person via phone or a short (2km) walk away if you need any other information during your visit.
The apartment is looked after by Sheila, the housekeeper. She lives nearby and comes in to clean for an hour (4:30 - 5:30PM) five days a week. Please note she does not do the dishes so do not depend on her to wash your tea-cups.
For any assistance, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us any time over the phone, email or via Airbnb. One of us will respond to your queries promptly and make sure you are comfortable and well taken care of.
Weitere wichtige Infos
> We rarely have power outages in this neighbourhood. However the apartment has an inverter backup for lights and fans. Please note: no power back-up for the wi-fi router and aqua guard.
> We have poor reception/cell service for Airtel service providers at our house. You may find it difficult to make phone calls. We recommend going into Living room or onto the balcony for the strongest signal strength.
>> The building does not allow groups of men to stay.
>> Extending the "no parties or events" clause to no noise after 10:00PM as this is a year-round residential neighbourhood and we'd like to be sensitive to the elderly residents that live here.
>> Segregate your trash according to the illustrated labels on the bins provided under the kitchen sink. We will dispose of it for you.
>> Please do your own dishes leaving the kitchen as you find it.
>> We expect that you treat our home just as if it is your own and that it is well taken care of during your stay.
I am somebody who likes to keep things simple - a good book, a nice long walk, a consistent yoga practice and good food make for a happy day. A graphic designer and organic gardener, by profession, I've spent the last several years travelling within India on different projects - often to small villages and towns that allow me the quiet I thrive on.
I travel light and slowly - preferring to spend a length of time exploring one place, allowing it to reveal itself to me. I enjoy being in Nature and often find a park or trail that becomes my refuge, especially while in big cities.
Having lived a traveller's lifestyle I found that I also enjoy hosting people. Sharing my experience of the place I call home and continuously discovering it through the experiences of my guests is delightful. My continued interest in sustainability and my experiment in minimalism is reflected in the decor and systems put into place for the smooth running of my home.
