"The Wellness Spot" in Richmond is a quiet respite for cleansing, nourishing, and healing mind and body, and a convenient stopover for trips to Acadia from points south. As functional health practitioners, we are mindful of the roles of environmental toxins, sleep, nutrition, movement, and stress reduction for optimal living. We grow organic gardens and minimize chemicals inside the house.
Your room has a Maine Cottage queen bed, bare pine flooring with wool area rug and large walk-in closet. There is no room for additional beds or people. We limit the shared bathroom to 3 guests at any time. All rooms have comfortable mattresses with all-cotton bed linens and down or down/fiber blend comforters and down pillows. We have synthetic-fill pillows, too.

Please enter through the front door, remove shoes in foyer, and take the stairs up to your room. The kitchen and common area are to the left of the foyer, through the French door. Just a note ... guests may be in the downstairs bedroom, and shutting the French door keeps down any noise.

... a peaceful retreat for detoxification and spiritual renewal.
Aubrey and I love this home in Richmond. It has a joyful energy to it. Aubrey is a chiropractor and I am a functional health coach. We love growing and making real food. We read a lot ... mostly these days around functional health. We can point you to great walks (Ocean Point in East Boothbay and Swan Island, two favorites), local sources of organic and other farms and farmer's markets, bicycle routes, day trips (like Swan Island) and wellness treatments like massage. Richmond is an-up-and-coming little town on the Kennebec River, a great jump-from location.
