/ The love child of Los Angeles and Saigon. /
We're a three room bed and breakfast located in the laid-back neighborhood of Da Kao in District 1. Residing in a beautiful French colonial villa in a quiet alley, Bunker offers its guests not only a stylish and comfortable stay but insight into Saigon's growing urban culture. We’re an international team with deep roots in creative, interior design and the food and drink industries. We came together at Bunker to blend the classic spirit of Los Angeles with the fresh energy of Saigon.
Our rooms are named The Suite, The Writer's Loft and The Studio. All of them are listed on AirBnB. You can see them by going to my host profile.
YOUR ROOM - THE WRITER's LOFT:
The Writer's Loft is an attic room designed for any modern Graham Greene. White walls and muted finished wood create a relaxing, distraction-free atmosphere. During the day the wall-to-wall, hand-sanded desk is flooded with natural light from the skylight, giving you plenty of space to spread out and work. At the end of the day you can retreat into the cozy sleeping corner inspired by modern Japanese design.
The spacious shared bathroom with a rain shower is right down the stairs on the second floor, next to the common reading area with a comfy Chester sofa set.
THE BREAKFAST BAR
Our breakfast bar is tucked in the garden downstairs. We offer a straight off the block menu filled with honest LA comfort food. Our organic coffee is handpicked and custom blended by our longtime partner farm in Da Lat. We're coffee-serious people so we invested in state-of-the-art coffee equipment with a team of dedicated baristas. Our guests can enjoy 15% discount on all the items on the menu.
THE FASHION STORE
We also share the ground floor space with a talented young fashion designer named THUC. Her space serves as a store and also a workshop where she makes her magic happen. If you're into fashion, she'd love to hang out with you and tell you about her love for clothing.
Zugang für Gäste
You're welcome to enjoy all the facilities we provide. Please don't enter the kitchen, let us do the work for you.
Interaktion mit Gästen
During the opening hours of the bar, our young and friendly staffs would love to share the coolest things going on in the city with you.

BUNKER'S PRESS RELEASE:
To live and to dine in LA.
Bunker is a bed, breakfast, and bar. It’s inspired by the real, irreverent, and sometimes run-down neighborhood haunts of Chinatown, Los Angeles, where some of us grew up.
Designed to reflect not just the look, but the mood of such a space and time. The idea was to capture what an immigrant family would create in Los Angeles in the early 1990s, with no resources, no design sense, no Pinterest, no English skills, but a lot of love for food and the neighborhood where they make a living. (Bunker’s neighbors are invited to grab a free coffee every morning.)
While paying homage to that era, Bunker wanted to bring the quality of the food to today’s standards. Hot dogs and burgers are made using freshly baked buns from a local bakery. Hamburger patties and potatoes wedges are homemade and hand cut, respectively. Even the coffee is extracted from single-origin beans from Da Lat, Vietnam.
The bedrooms keep their French colonial structure (we are in Ho Chi Minh City after all), but the interior decor is an irreverent mix of neon, aged wood, open bathtubs, books, and kitschy souvenirs collected from around the world — reminiscent of lodgings above Chinatown storefronts.
