This very relaxing ground floor tatami room features it's own private Japanese garden, accessible only to guests staying in this room. In addition it also boasts it's own western bathroom and toilet. Ideal for singles and spacious enough for couples to enjoy. Bedding consists of 2 single futons which can be set side by side to present as a double. There are no cooking facilities, however basic coffee and tea making facilities are provided. The room is equipped with a flat screen television offering cable and a wide range of programmes in various languages for your enjoyment. The reverse cycle air-conditioner provides relief from the hot Kyoto summer and warmth in winter. Essentials include bath towels, hand towels, body soap, hairdryer, all bed linen plus a small refrigerator. Iron available upon request. Kyoto City Bus #50 regularly leaves from Kyoto's main train station and stops very close to Jam Jar Lounge & Inn (approximate 30 minute journey). Alternatively taxis are relatively cheap and take only 15 minutes door to door.

Guests staying at Jam Jar Lounge will be met by staff on the day of arrival to complete the check-in procedure which includes obtaining a copy of guests passports if not Japanese nationals. Check-in is between 3:00pm - 7:00 pm (a late check-in fee of JPY5000 may be payable unless permission granted prior by the host). If arriving early we are happy to take care of your luggage if your room is not available. Guests will subsequently have private access via a laneway on the right hand (or East) side of the building. Individual room keys are provided for your security. Access is available 24 hours.
Alternatively guests can utilise the main entrance via the café situated at the front of the building during normal trading hours.

Free Wi-Fi is available both in your room as well as the café lounge area for the duration of your stay.
You may notice on arrival that there is no bedding in your room. This is to allow a more practical room space during the day. Two single futons are provided for guests in each room, complete with all linen including pillows and goose down duvets. Setting both futons side by side on the tatami creates a comfortable and spacious double bed for couples if required. Subsequently you have the choice of leaving the futons out for the remainder of your stay, or packing them away daily into the cupboard provided. Western style bedding is not available.
PLEASE NOTE: Effective April 1st, 2005, Japanese legislation requires that all hotels and similar accommodation facilities must retain a copy of all non-resident, non-Japanese guests' passports. As a result, all non-resident, non-Japanese guests will be required to present their passports for photocopying when checking in.
