I will try to be as objective as possible with this review.
The listing only has one photo (which I thought was very strange). The photo does, indeed, accurately show one small view of the apartment. Perhaps, the owner chose not to include other pictures because the kitchen and the bathroom would not look nice in pictures. From this experience, I will hesitate to rent another Airbnb that doesn't show a number of interior pictures.
POSITIVE: The old village is beautiful and quiet (except for some barking dogs). It is 15 minutes away from Corte and from Ponte Leccia, where you can buy groceries and find restaurants.
NEGATIVE: The village has no amenities. No bar, restaurant or place to buy any food.
POSITIVE: Sigrid drove down the hill to guide us to the village, which we greatly appreciated. Don't trust (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps. Sigrid also helped us connect our computer to wifi.
NEGATIVE: Check-in is stated as 15:00, but Sigrid told us that we could not check in until after 17:00. If this is the case, then it should be changed on the website.
POSITIVES: The space is large and could sleep four people, with two in the bedroom and two on the sofa bed in the living room. The windows in the front of the house are large and the French doors of the living room open wide to let in lots of light. There is great water pressure and lots of very hot water.
NEGATIVES: The house faces south, so it gets strong sun all day. The house becomes very warm. On the north side of the house, there are only two small windows, one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom that face a cliff. There is very little airflow. Sleeping was difficult given the extreme heat of August. A fan would certainly help the guests sleep. The house was not carefully cleaned. The floors were dusty and dirty and, there were many ants in the living room. Also, the drains in the sinks and the shower do not work well. By the time I finished my shower, I was ankle deep in water. The refrigerator is turned off when not in use and the door was closed. The interior is very dirty and rusty, but at least it keeps the food and drinks cool when it is plugged in. The wifi comes from Sigrid's apartment upstairs and is only strong enough for laptops to catch the signal. Our phones and tablets could not find the signal.
All-in-all, this Airbnb was not worth the expense.
