New on airbnb - Fall in love with the Valais Alps at Chalet Bärbel! This cosy chalet belongs to my family and we've been coming here ever since the chalet village Tschuggen was built. It is the ideal base for beautiful hill walks and exploring the Aletsch area, the Rhone Valley and nearby areas such as Zermatt and Saas Fee.
The chalet comfortably sleeps 6. The lounge has a fireplace, TV and stereo. The minimum stay is 7 nights, but during quieter periods we may accept shorter stays.
The following charges are paid directly to the local agent Beltour who manages the property:
- Cleaning fee: CHF 180
- Bed linen and towels: CHF 20 per person
- Electricity: CHF 10 per day in the summer, CHF 20 per day in the winter.
The local authority charges a tourist tax of CHF 2.50 per adult (17+ years) and CHF 1.25 per child, per day (payable to tourist office in Blatten).
Please let me know in advance if you require a children's cot so it's available on arrival (CHF 40, payable directly to reception).
Originally from Germany, I've been living in Linlithgow, Scotland, for over 20 years - and love it here! I enjoy the beauty of nature, arty things and travel a fair bit. To give visitors from all over the world a chance to be creatively inspired by this country's nature and heritage I've co-founded Wild at Art Ltd to organise art holidays in Scotland . My other business Fire & Rain offers bereavement breaks for widowed people.
I signed up to Airbnb some time ago but only started being active here last year to promote another place I love: my family's Chalet Bärbel (named after my mum) in the Swiss Alps. And I've just started renting out a newly renovated room in my own house, which is the ideal location for exploring central Scotland.
