This is an antique home and nice outside, which doesn't prepare you for how truly wonderful it is inside. Justin has done a fantastic job of decorating it with lots of character. He wasn't around much during my stay, but I'm very glad I got to meet him at least briefly. A friendly host, environmentally conscious, and a nice, quiet dog. The location is good for exploring western Maryland, about an hour to the Deep Creek Lake area and then that much shorter of a drive to return to more central Maryland afterwards.

Justin is a fine host. He answered all my questions and went out of his way to make us comfortable. The house is an eclectic mix / updated old house with lots of interesting and beautiful historic charm as well as funky and artistic details. Convenient location for getting into town and to the university. Doodle the dog is a sweet pooch.

Great location, great accommodations, and great host. Friendly host with good suggestions for food and beer . Would stay again on the next trip.

I love hiking and traveling, and swimming is my favorite thing in the world. I also love trying new foods and experiencing new places and people.

I grew up just outside of D.C. in the suburbs of Herndon, VA. I went to college in Virginia at the University of Mary Washington where I earned a B.A. in English with a concentration in creative writing. After college I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia. Upon finishing my thru-hike I moved to Hartford, CT for grad school where I earned my M.A. in English for writing, rhetoric and media arts at Trinity College.

After graduate school I took a job working as a head college swim coach at Frostburg State University, a small state university in western Maryland.

Two years ago I bought a 150 year old foreclosure that I've fixed up and made my own. I live with my labradoodle.

My motto is that "nothing lasts forever, so make the most of the moment."
