Peaceful, serene, quiet, relaxing. We are located on 15 acres just west of the Elwha River, with 5 acres of natural forest and trails. Salt Creek and a beautiful pond are just 30 feet from your front door. Our pond has trout (catch & release), a picnic area and fire pit, and a play jungle gym for kids.
With its own private entrance, the 1,100 sq ft suite has: two bedrooms with queen size beds, a spacious living room with fireplace, 55" TV and dvd player (no cable) and kitchen.

Der Wohnraum

Blacktail deer walk the forest trails, hence the name, Blacktail Trail. You can watch for bald eagles, blue heron, ducks and geese which visit our pond. Also you can watch for other wild life that find Salt Creek to be a sanctuary, including native cut-throat trout.
At times salmon spawn up Salt Creek in Nov. and Dec. which is amazing to watch.
Catch and Release fishing is permitted at our pond with certain stipulations. Fly fishing is preferred. Tim will explain the rules, rod and reel can be supplied.
Catch and Keep can also be arranged with Tim, before fishing, if you would like fresh trout for dinner.

Our location has easy access to: the ferry to Victoria, Canada, Marymere Falls, Lake Crescent, Hurricane Ridge (Olympic Mountain Range), Olympic Game Farm, Sol Duc Hot Springs, the Hoh Rain Forest, beaches and tide pools, salt and freshwater fishing, kayaking, surfing, climbing, many hiking/biking trails including The Discovery Trail; all that the Olympic Peninsula has to offer.
During the winter, it is easy access to ski (Hurricane Ridge), hunt, and all of the above.
In cooler weather, cozy up to the fireplace (wood included) and read, play cards or do a puzzle.

Zugang für Gäste

Please note, the hosts live on a second level upstairs; guests stay in the entire downstairs, privately.

Amazing, Majestic, Beautiful, Comfortable... These words pale in comparison to the actual experience. My girlfriend and I traveled from San Diego and were blown away. HOSTS: From the moment we arrived, we were greeted like family from Tim and Star. They were amazing hosts and really made us feel welcomed. They gave us a quick rundown of everything and then let us be. They respected our privacy but were also available at a moments notice. I have used Airbnb quite often and this is by far the best experience I've had. Thank you so much Tim and Star for creating an experience of a lifetime. My girlfriend also loves tomatoes and Tim went out of his way to pick some of his organic heirloom tomatoes. Delicious. Its obvious they care about our comfort and stay. They kept asking if we needed anything. Just so warm and friendly. Thank you once again! LOCATION: Coming from a beach town, being in the Pacific northwest was amazing. The house is on roughly 10 acre plot with 4 acres of trails in the back where you can explore. They have a pond with trout that you can feed/fish. It is an Oasis. We spent a whole day there just hanging and it was soooo peaceful. We are 100% going to return when our schedules allow it. Majestic. The house was cozy, warm. Had everything available including fresh eggs, bagels, smores... The only negative was that Tim and Star didn't offer to adopt us, so that we could live there forever!!! Thank you Tim and Star, We really appreciate you guys!

This was my first experience using Airbnb and, honest to goodness, it could not have been any better. It was delightful and picturesque and Tim and Star were the perfect hosts. I would absolutely recommend them and wish them all the best!

We had a wonderful time at Tim and Star's with our two little ones (3 and 4). They loved every minute, especially feeding the fish (we did so at least five times a day), "fishing the fish" (aka catching fish), picking blackberries, "hiking" in the woods, and the playground right in the back yard. For the grownups, it was a good gateway to the National Park, nearby hikes, access to the water, and an easy drive into Port Angeles for dinners. Tim and Star were wonderful and warm and made us feel right at home. We'll be back, especially at a time when there might be puppies!

The drive into the farm, orchard and garden provided us Dallasites quite a reception combined with a Viszlas couple eagerly greeting us in the only manner they knew. Tim and Star are the warmest Airbnb hosts we have ever met. On the way to our unit at the basement of the house where they lived, we went by the pond filled with trout. The next morning, we walked the various small trails created by Tim with each named after his many grandchildren. Unfortunately, we were urbanites with an agenda being out by 8:30 am and home 12 hours later, we hardly got to enjoy all the surroundings.

We had a great time in Tim and Star's house. The bedrooms were clean, and sleeping bags were provided for people who slept in the couch. Tim and Star were also very nice and easy going. We liked fishing and barbecuing in their backyards. Tim also built the bonfire for us which lighted the night even more. We would highly recommend to stay here if you are traveling in the area.

If we could give Tim and Star a 10 star review, we would. Where do I begin? First off, when you get to the property (which js just beautiful!!), you are greeted by both Tim and Star, who are some of the nicest, down to earth, and friendliest people we have ever met. They are beyond excellent hosts, and really make you feel at home. Tim started a fire for us down by their pond, where my husband and I could sit and feed the fish, stay warm, and look up at the stars when it would get dark out (their property sits on over 5 acres and is the perfect setting for "getting away from it all"). It's about a 20 minute drive into the town of Port Angeles, and the location was the perfect launching pad for our explorations in Olympic National Park (ie, 2 hour drive to Hoh Rainforest, 55 min to Hurricane Ridge). We were just over the moon when we saw they had left us a dozen eggs from their own chickens to enjoy during our stay! And they let us pick raspberries and tomatoes from their garden, which made our morning breakfasts that much more special (and convenient!). We couldn't have asked for more, and would definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

Wonderful host and lovely couple. Great place for either a short or long family vacation. Kids will love it here and may refuse to go to the Olympic national park as planned. :( You'll find everything you can ever ask for while away from home. Will definitely come back again for a summer get away!

We have been married for 44 years, have 3 children and great in-laws, and 10 fantastic grandchildren.
We raise gun/marathon dogs, love to garden, with Star's u-pick seasonal raspberries and Tim's u-pick everything else: sugar snap peas, beans, apples, zucchini, and much more, like: the trout he raises in our pond.
We really enjoy getting to know people and their families.
