Our home (we live here) has 5 guestrooms. It's directly at the beachfront (20m walk from your room to jump in the sea).

Paulina enjoys doing yoga in the mornings before breakfast (feel free to join!), Carlotta is baking the most delicious cakes and Claire likes to share all our insider knowledge of Sri Lanka, with stories you won't beleive!
You are also welcome to visit our cinnamon farm, which is nearby.
Our home was designed and built by ourselves and it was very important for us to only use high-quality and natural materials. Most of our furniture is self designed and locally handmade.
All wooden works in our home are made out of jack, mahagony, teak or para mara, a native Sri Lankan tree and treated with nothing else than natural bees wax, as we want to avoid artificial materials like paint and varnish as much as possible.
Our natural bamboo bedsheets almost feel like silk. For breakfast we use silver cutlery and antique tableware. The house is sourrounded by a big garden, with hammocks to relax.
Please be aware, that we do not have aircondition and no attached bathrooms in our rooms as it is not in accordance with our opinion of a sustainable and responsible lifestyle!
On our first floor, where our five guestrooms are situated, there is a bathroom with 3 showers and 2 seperate toilets. Please check out the photos!
BREAKFAST: At Amuura Beach House we serve daily changing, fresh, homemade Sri Lankan breakfast which is included in the room rate.
LUNCH: We usually serve Sri Lankan Rice and Curry for lunch which is prepared by our local cook and costs 650 Rs.
DINNER: You are very welcome to join our "Family Dinner". Together we prepare a Sri Lankan - international influenced meal. We like cooking fresh seafood from the fish market nearby or having BBQ! Dinner costs 800 to 2000 Rs.
Whenever available we use our own homegrown organic fruits, vegetables and eggs for cooking!

Originally from Germany, we moved to Sri Lanka in 2012. Here we have our own organic cinnamon plantation and permaculture garden. Our home is at the beach of Beruwala, where we also rent out the guestrooms. For us it is very important to have a healthy, happy and fulfilling lifestyle. We plant organic vegetables and fruits in the garden, make our own compost, eat eggs from our hens, cook fresh fish from the market down the road, use local, natural and high quality materials for building and prefer the fresh sea breeze to an air-conditioned room. We have designed and build our house ourselves and we are happy to share this wonderful place with other people!
