The blond, nordic minimalism forgot to visit our place. But we don't really mind, as we love colour and the stuff we keep around us. The house we live in was built in the 1920's. We live on the 4:th floor. Stockholm people are killing for a place in this area, so two new floors (5th and 6:th) were built on top of the original house in the early 90's.
This is the far nicest area of Östermalm. Just around the corner you'll find the picturesque Östermalmstorg with Saluhallen, a gorgeous food hall from the 1880s and a 15 minutes walk from Gamla Stan, (old town).
Even if you aren't at all that crazy about everything being fancy, it's an excellent place to stay in. You're in the middle of everything, still living in a quiet flat (all windows facing the yard)
We live on the fourth floor. All windows face the back yard, so once in, you left all the city noice behind.
Straight ahead a living room with a sitting area with place for five and an expandable dining table. And a piano. And a mini stereo.
This is where our sleep over guests stay. Not in the sofa, though. But one person on one of those matresses with air, one of the soft and nice ones. If there's a second guest, we have an ordinary matress. And if there is a third guest (a child?), there is actually a third one too.
Then there is a small kitchen "with everything", but no place to sit. Instead an opening in the wall to the dining table in the living room.
Bathroom with bathtub.
Well, no, not really. Or, actually - not at all! Those who stay with us do so because they want to live dead central to a cheap price and don't mind sharing space with others. The others, in this case, are I and my 4 year old son. So if you're looking for peace peace and quiet, go on looking, since we can't offer you that! ;-)
Let me know whenabaouts you would arrive!
So - welcome and we hope you'll enjoy staying with us!
I want to know a bit about you. Please complete your profile, I'd love to have seen a photo of you for example, and let me know what write me a little bit about your visit to Stockholm!
