Amazing how vicious a guest can get , once he gets asked to pay for damages he left in a condo . This guest's total disappointment and false claims about our condo only appeared at his check- out time , after we requested that he pays for extra cleaning ( 120 $) because his puppy dog's poop and pee stains on both new bedroom carpets , pee stains all over living room floor and carpet, patio pillows and completely soiled towels . We always conduct an initial walkthrough with a guest at check- in , to ensure the proper function of all appliances and address any concerns . The guest signed off and was happy with the condo . He brought along a 7 month old long haired puppy dog ( terrier) , but assured us that the dog was toilet trained . We did discuss the dog on the message board , but he never mentioned , that it was a puppy he just got a month earlier . We would not have accepted a puppy, because of the problems it will bring . The Living area floors were completely dirty when we arrived , not cleaned during his one month stay , as we found dog food , long dog hair and dried pee stains everywhere . Poop on the bedroom carpet and a large pee stain in the other bedroom were photographed and send to Airbnb for a a case we opened. . Several of our towels had pee stains on them and we had to discard them .
The AC malfunctioned after four days of him staying there( so he says) and he alerted us to it after the 4 days . He claimed , that the AC was not working properly for the first couple of days , but that did not prevent him from running the AC on the lowest setting possible with the Fan motor on on , instead on automatic , while leaving the patio door open for the dog to be able to have access to go outside , causing a possibly malfunctioning Ac Fan motor to be on nonstop . The AC Fan motor had to work harder to compensate for the warm air coming in from outside. It caused the Fan blower motor to break. Our Ac unit is three years old. People who live in the Desert understand the private AC limitations . In a Hotel , there is a closed environment, were windows do not open , no hot air comes in and the AC will stop automatically at a certain temperature setting . That is why we leave a recommended setting for the guests in the condo . The AC was immediately repaired after he called, on the next day , same day was not possible , since it was completely frozen inside and so was the outside compressor . After the repair , everything was fine and we only saw the guest again at his move out day . Contrary to what he is falsely claiming now , the entire place has new furniture and flooring , all new Appliances , 2 new Tv , one with Antenna and one with Apple Tv ( Netflix and Hulu) and Direct Tv. We own the condo since 2016 and it looks exactly like the photos. With a great view from the patio onto a garden with fountains , which obviously the dog enjoyed every day . We do provide cleaning products , wash powder , dishwashing liquid , a swiffer and a vacuum cleaner . We also offer a weekly or bi- weekly cleaning for an additional cleaning fee. He was not interested .There are only two Wifi providers in Las Vegas .Cox Tv combined with Wifi , or you can get Century link only Wifi with Direct Tv access. We have also added a Apple Tv modem , which a lot of guest use to watch Hulu and Netflix. . At check - in ,we were trying to explain the Apple Tv control , but since he traveled for 3 days in a car with a friend and wanted to settle in fast, he told us he knows how to operate it . After a month stay ,with no further contact with this guest , he requested a day earlier check- out and asked us to be there around 10 am to 10:15 am , because he wanted to leave at 10:30 . We arrived at 10:20am to find his cousin there waiting for us, while he was at the nearby grocery store to get supplies for his drive home .. We waited there for 40 minutes for him. He got back to the condo at 11:08 am , immediately accused us ,that we were late and that it was now 11 am. When we showed him the pee stains everywhere and the poop on the bedroom carpet and asked for a $120 ( not sufficient actually ) cleaning fee, he got loud and combative and threatened a bad review. Suddenly, after he was happy with everything for a month , did sign the initial walkthrough and told us what a nice place it is , he changed his tune threatening a bad review, so he can avoid paying $120 for his dog" s mess. After he moved out , we did receive an unusually high electricity bill .The Ac would have not been as badly damaged , if he did not overuse it to compensate for a open patio door. This is what the Ac repair guy told us. This guest told us initially, that he wanted to experience how it is , to live in Las vegas in condo with all the responsibilities , food shopping and cleaning and just living like a local . It turns out , he did not want the responsibility of cleaning after his dog , or cleaning in general . The floors and bathtub were very dirty ( there is no mold in las vegas , too dry ) and several bath and hand towels were used to clean the pee stains on the floor .

Interesting, that he complained that he had to walk to open the gate for someone for a delivery , but claims at the same time, that the gate was open during his stay .
The location is in a residential area, close to a small shopping mall as described in the ad. You can be at the strip in 10 minutes or go towards the mountains . You can see the Strip from the community entrance and the mountains and garden with fountains from the living room patio. We provide gate openers , but there is no gate access code for anyone . The Community management company does not provide that . . It is not a very big community , only 125 condos , so it is not far to go to the gate. Sometimes the gates malfunction and a new motor has to be ordered. But it usually gets fixed right away . Things like this happen in a community , were lots of people use the grounds. There is a children pre - school near by and a Starbucks , Mc Donalds and Restaurants . It is a urban area with a large park , a large gym and shopping close by . The gym offers weekly and monthly passes , which include all their classes. We do not have break- ins or any other occurrences, so one just follows regular precautions. Las Vegas is a big city and one has to lock their doors , like anywhere else. We also offer a private large garage . This guest joined the Gym and was very happy with it . If he wants the service of a hotel room , then he needs to book one . He will not be able to bring in a dog . If a hotel does allow dogs in Las Vegas ( only one or two) , they charge extra fees on extra floors . We did not charge a extra pet fee . He wants to experience a private setting with private garage , and all amenities with Washer and Dryer and more, but he is not ready to treat a hosts condo with respect and responsibility . Since we do not want this kind of experience again , we do not allow pets anymore . We are sorry for all the responsible pet owners .. Instead of just paying the small amount we asked , he falsely made up conditions, which did not exist . A very angry and vicious guest . We have sent all pictures of the mess, including the signed check- in walkthrough and our AC repair bill to airbnb for further investigation .
