Set in the heart of the city, this 18th-century apartment has great, colourful open spaces with plenty of room to breathe. It is a short stroll from the beautiful Calton Hill and its magnificent views. Restaurants, bars and boutiques in the vicinity.
A big, spacious 27sq metre room in an 18th-century apartment on the 3rd and 4th floors with an enchanting sea view. Situated in between two churches in the centre of Edinburgh and a direct 35-minute tram connection to the front door from Edinburgh airport.
The apartment is set in Edinburgh's New Town within the UNESCO heritage site that is a beautiful area to wander around with many architectural gems to be discovered. The apartment is close to everything you could need for a perfect stay in Edinburgh.
A 7 minute walk to Waverley train station for connections to the rest of the UK. The tram line runs right to the doorsteps. The journey from the airport directly to the front door of the apartment takes 35 minutes.
Nearby there is the Playhouse theatre, a large cinema complex, many restaurants and interesting little boutique shops on Broughton St. There are also some wonderful cafes and delis such as Artisan Roast and Urban Angel a few minutes walk away.
York Place is also the birthplace of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, a statue to Sherlock Holmes is situated diagonally across the road from the apartment, and the Conan Doyle pub on the corner of the block is a great setting to relax after a day of seeing the sights.
The apartment is set across the two top floors of a four storey 18th century block, if you have difficulties carrying your luggage up four sets of stairs this may not be an ideal option for you. Also, depending on the time of the year and my own calendar, there may be other guests staying at the apartment.
The walking time to Princes St and George St, as well as the old town's historic Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle, is around seven minutes.
I look forward to welcoming you to this great city!
