We look forward to welcoming you to our self contained and cozy cottage in the secluded oasis of our backyard. We live in lovely neighborhood, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Enjoying strolling through our garden, sitting on the deck in front of a little wood burning fire pit, soaking in the hot tub and just relaxing~
Our friends always tell us that we have created a lovely sanctuary in our backyard~ including our intimate and cozy cottage with a Moroccan flair, influenced by our 3 years of living and teaching in Morocco. The private and well lit entrance leads you onto the deck. Tranquility abounds! The sound of the waterfall, and lushness of our spring and summer gardens will please you. There is a queen size memory foam bed that guests LOVE, along with the large cedar shower. For your convenience, you will find a toaster over, single burner cooking unit, small fridge, dishes and utensils in the cottage. Our gas BBQ is also available. We provide a French press coffee maker, beans and a grinder for your stay along with a bottle of complimentary Washington wine, fresh fruit, yogurt. We are a mile from the ferry and in walking distance to town and services. We are also on the bus line. This is a terrific location! Having lived and taught on Bainbridge for over 24 years, Carl and I would love to help orient you to the island and plan your stay.

My husband, Carl, and I are both veteran teachers. Alice retired from elementary school teaching in June 2014, after 40 years in the classroom. Carl's career also spanned 40 years in both elementary and middle school classrooms. We LOVE to travel and had an incredibly rewarding experience teaching in Morocco from 2008-2012 and are enthusiastic promoters for Moroccan tourism! We look forward to more travel adventures in our future. We are currently running The CLAM Club (Carl Lindbloom Alice Mendoza) from our home. We are an after school homework and enrichment club for 8 elementary school students in grades 3-5. WE LOVE it, as do our students and their parents. Carl has two sons by his first marriage as do I. We are a close family even though geographically we are spread out between Indonesia, Poland, Seattle and Ohio! We love to meet new people and share our collective life experiences. We know you will enjoy staying in our cottage so give us a call and come see for yourselves.
