Small place with no host to meet & greet you. Host might forget to tell you where to find the key to your room, which she might not know for certain. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps or Apple maps can only help to a certain extent, and this home lacks any clear directions on how to find the place, especially if you are new to Japan, and unfamiliar with Japanese addresses, as I was. Host didn’t realise I was still occupying the room, when she tried to enter … how bizarre! Air con remote control in Japanese only, no help by host in trying to figure out what buttons activate what functions.
Accommodation was clean, bathroom too. Room is tiny with few surfaces, so I had to strew the contents of my suitcase on the floor. No wardrobe; only two hangers, but where to hang the hangers? Significant light pollution which is not adequately blocked out by the thin, light curtains. However, no noise polution, and neighborhood reasonably quiet.
This is not a place I will come back to, and I will likely never again use Airbnb in Japan, as this was my third bad Airbnb experience OUT OF THREE, all of them in Japan. No comparison with Europe or Taiwan, where I also stayed in sometimes small accommodations. At least hosts were available, communicative, and tried what they could to help.
