(Mahogany Getaway offers QUALITY at affordable rates)
Why stay at an expensive place when you can stay at a quality, affordable, comfortable place? Don’t lose your opportunity to fully explore this island because you spent too much on lodging.
In this convenient location you can hop on a $1 or $2.50 bus and within minutes you'll be at one of the Island’s best white sand beaches. Save ($$$) for a few days then use your savings to rent a car your last few days to explore the rest of the island. Car rentals are expensive at $45-$50 or more a day, but don’t worry with your wise savings choice you’ll have a bundle left over to enjoy this entire small Island.
Dive into the new amazingly, comfortable, sturdy, mahogany hybrid bed, and let the gel and memory foam relax every muscle in your body, so that you can get a well needed good night rest. This is a bed and mattress that only expensive hotels offer. I bought the mattress because my daughter fell asleep on it in the store in no time while I was testing out mattress for my guest. It was very expensive, but I felt compelled to buy it. Even when you are awake in this bed you don’t want to move because your body is so relaxed, but I must warn you that this is really just a vacationer’s bed, and it really has been misbehaving. As a result, disciplinary action now includes an alarm clock in the room, and if you need me to give you a shout I will. My 3rd guest asked, "What kind of bed is that?" It’s really a crazy bed, but you won’t regret how well rested your body feels overall. It was especially selected so that my guest could sleep in comfort. You’ll wake up feeling well rested with no pain. Finally, give your body the rest your health requires.
A 2ND ROOM AVAILABLE FOR FAMILIES
This Mahogany furnished room is one of three bedrooms on the 1st floor of a two-story home. Two bedrooms are available on the first floor. If you’re a traveling family or group another room is available that sleeps 3 in this same home. Companions could have privacy in the Mahogany room that sleeps 2, and children in the bunk bed room that sleeps 3. The second story is partially completed. Additionally, I provide a basket of things people forget to bring along on their trip. Relax in the Catnapper recliner at the end of the day and watch cable TV.
SOLID WALL PRIVACY
You’ll appreciate the cement poured ceiling, and solid concrete walls for extra privacy.
Your outdoor space now includes your own private table. It’s a pleasure to provide you with a quick self help complementary bagel, Cream of Wheat, Oatmeal, tea, juices, drinking water, and instant coffee breakfast you can enjoy outdoor if you please. You’re also welcome to try our Island bush tea I make weekly; it’s a very good immune booster for many ailments. It knocks the flu out in 2 days from my personal experience. This affordable, luxury room is your own space and privacy while you are here.
Note: As we move closer to the summer months remember to wear insect repellent outdoor especially at night. I provide this in your basket of things people tend to forget to bring along on their trip. Mosquitos are common on these Islands in the Caribbean because they are attracted to tropical climates. I can’t control your experience outdoor, but windows and doors are screened to protect you indoor.

KITCHEN & BATH
You’ll have access to a shared full kitchen with microwave, and very clean shared bath. Disinfectant wipes will be provided for toilet seat, and a potty seat for toddlers 2yrs and up. In addition to towel, toilet paper, and soap, you will be provided with complimentary shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, toothpaste, toothbrush, and Coco Butter cream for your skin just to make your shared warm bath more comfortable. So, stop for a moment and think. You’re only spending a small amount of time in the restroom. If you shared a bath in your own home it really isn’t very different.
LIVING ROOM & WORK SPACE
Feel free to relax in the living room whenever you please; it’s usually empty. The dining room is a sunny area you can use if you need a large work space. If you need to print anything I can help. Office Max is also within walking distance and offers free internet, and cents for printing a page so it is another option. Lots of effort goes into making you feel at home away from home.
The Laundromat is inexpensive and nearby if you need to wash and dry right away. Unfortunately, I couldn’t offer free washing at this time, but a Laundromat is within walking distance; washing is reasonability priced at $2 min and drying is only 25 cents.

PLACES TO EXPLORE PROVIDED
I’ll be available to offer help throughout your stay in any way I could, so don’t worry about anything. You won’t even have to think about what to do on island; I'll have pamphlets ready for you in your room, and automatically provide you with documentation on places to explore and activities on island periodically. This is just the way I treat my guest because I want you to take full advantage of what the island offer and have fun.
Your room will only be entered for cleaning before you arrive and after you leave. It’s your private space and I especially like to give my guest privacy. You'll have your privacy, and if you need anything don't be afraid to inform me; I'll be in the next room I use as office space and shop etc., or off on business. My goal is to make your stay a pleasant one.

FAQ: Is the security deposit withdrawn for payment? The security deposit is not withdrawn for payment unless the host request compensation for calculated damage to the property. Unlike a security deposit that is required to lease or rent a home, or apartment the security deposit on Airbnb is not treated in that manner. The security deposit will not be included in your reservation charges.
INTERNET & CELL PHONE COVERAGE
Cell phone coverage is better inland rather than on the outer shoreline part of the island. Unfortunately, some areas do not have good cell phone coverage at all. This is an ideal location because coverage is fantastic. Internet service is fairly good on island, but even businesses would tell you their computers are down, so don’t expect too much more than what the internet companies offer.
NEARBY CONVENIENT STORE & SUPERMARKET
The supermarket food here on island is somewhat expensive, but the local Caribbean food is as low as $10 -$12 a plate according to your order, and it’s a full meal. A bar & restaurant is a 3 minute walk across the street, and their local food is affordable & really great. There is also a little night life if you want to hang out a little.
DRIVING ON ISLAND
Remember to drive on the left side of the road when you get here. You can adapt very quickly to driving on the roads because most of the Island only has two lanes, and the traffic is very slow at 40mph. The highway from the airport has four lanes. Just be conscientious about staying on the left.
1- Smoking allowed outside the home only
2- Your room is air-conditioned, so turn off when not in use to conserve energy because we pay very high electrical bills here on island.
3- Please note: Your room will only be entered for cleaning before you arrive and after you leave. It’s your private space and I especially like to give my guest privacy. The small cleaning fee covers linen wash, and cleaning supplies. It’s not sufficient to cover labor. The shared living space is a courtesy cleaning to keep the cost affordable, but you are expected to clean the cutlery, dish & appliances you personally utilize daily. Thanks for your cooperation.
4- This is private property. Please do not unlock gates to allow strangers or people you do not know onto the property without approval.
5- Check out is at 1:00pm. I need to both clean & disinfect the room properly before another guest use it. My procedures take a little more time than a regular cleaning because I am caring for my guest. Kindly remove your items in a timely manner so that I do not have to do so; if your flight leave late you can stay around, but please remove items because another guest may need the room that day. Thanks for your cooperation.
6- Please keep screens doors closed at all times. Mosquitos are common on all tropical islands. The area is safe to leave windows & doors open for natural breeze, but keep screen doors close to keep out mosquitoes and critters that live on this island. I can’t control your experience outdoor, but windows and doors are screened to protect you indoor.
7- The upper part of the house is not completed; it's forbidden for safety reasons. No work will be done to disturb guest.
8- This is important. Please remove all empty food containers from your room wastebasket at the ending of each day. Absolutely do not store bags of food waste in your room trashcan overnight. This act encourages critters, and I make a big effort to keep them out. I will empty trash overnight to avoid any critters. Thanks for your understand.
9- Please throw toilet paper into the restroom trashcan. Too much toilet paper in toilet slows down toilet and can clog it. Thanks
10- Please understand that check-in is at 4:00pm and after, but not before because this is the time that fits into my schedule. My guest leaves at 1:00pm, so you cannot get into the room while it’s being utilized. I will be at the house to welcome you at the time indicated as listed.
11- If you or your children damage property kindly inform host. We all have damage something at some point and time in our life, and I can accept that we are not perfect, but walking away and denying our responsibility is not the right thing to do. Your damage is covered under the security deposit policy.
12- I have new light colored, quality carpet in the living room. Please be respectful, and do not wear your shoes on the carpet or in the house at all. If you wear your shoes outdoor absolutely do not wear them on the carpet or in the home. I put a lot of effort into keeping my carpet clean for guest, and I do not want to have to withdraw your security deposit for incompliance.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation...
