We offer you a spacious and cozy room, with its own private entrance. The room is equipped with a comfortable double bed, storage space in the large wall closet and a sitting area with coffee and/or tea facilities. Wi-Fi is also available, alongside a large selection of books and games for you to enjoy. The ensuite bathroom is modern and spacious, and includes a shower, toilet and sink. Linen is provided.
Casa el Maro also has a separate room that we call, “The Living room”. Here we have a small bar, a dining area where we serve your breakfast and a sitting area with Spanish television. Because we live here, the living room is also the room where we usually stay ourselves, as per normal with all B&Bs.
In Rio Bermuza there are no shops or restaurants, but to compensate this we are happy to provide a variety of enjoyable meals served in the living room or tapas at the bar. Cooking being the hobby your host Rob, something that he's passionate about. The town of Canillas de Aceituno is just 5 km away. Here you will find many bars and restaurants, but its not everyone's cup of tea to drive through the mountains at night. However, after a couple of days here most people feel far more confident!
Casa el Maro also has several terraces, here you can enjoy a cool drink, or lie in the sun. Our pool is under construction at the moment and there is still some building material around. But this should not spoil your enjoyment, and certainly not the beautiful views as we have built our B&B on the top of a high mountain, the view from here taking in the white village of Rio Bermuza is simply breathtaking. Behind our house rising high above is the 2000 meter high mountain range of “La Maroma”. This is a nature reserve where you can hike whilst enjoying the many species of plants and wildlife. We can organize walks led by an experienced guide. But you can also put on your hiking boots and walk the many roads that run between the mountains on your own.
What makes Casa el Maro so unique is its location, the peace around you and the friendly and homely way we treat our guests. The white villages seem to be almost integral to the surrounding mountains, and the goat and sheep herds still graze on the slopes as they have done for hundreds of years. And this all just a 50 minute drive from the airport in Malaga. Within 30 minutes you can also lie on the beach in Torre del Mar. A visit to Granada to see the old town and the Alhambra can be done in one day. Or maybe a day’s shopping in very tradional town of Velez Malaga which is only a 25 minute drive. There really is so much potential!
We would like to welcome you for a stay at Casa el Maro.
After your reservation you will receive a route from us by e-mail because all route planners loose their way here.
