I offer a thoughtfully furnished clean apartment where you will feel at home and have the experience of living like a real New Yorker. I am a reliable, experienced host and will ensure your trip is great. I am renting out my apartment over the holidays while I am away (it is a 3 bedroom apartment but I wont be there and my room will not be available for use). Please see my other listings for reviews about this apartment.
My description below should answer all of your questions about me, the apartment and neighbourhood. If I have left anything out, please ask!
★ THE APARTMENT ★
The apartment is sunny and large with an open space for living. The apartment features three bedrooms a fully equipped kitchen and a living room. It is located on the 4th floor of a turn of the century walkup building.
The apartment is nearly identical to the photos, with some upgrades and additions to the furniture (it's actually better decorated and organized for utility than in the photos). I maintain a minimalistic lifestyle so the apartment is uncluttered and kept clean.
2 of the bedrooms will be available for this rental while I am away (my bedroom will be locked and not available for guest access)
The 2 bedrooms and living room can accommodate up to 6 guests.
This apartment has high-value and is inexpensive, meaning you are getting a great compromise between price and quality - especially in Manhattan. It is perfect for either vacations or business trips.
★ THE NEIGHBORHOOD ★

The neighborhood is safe, friendly and lively. The apartment is centrally located between 2 subway lines which makes getting nearly anywhere in Manhattan easy.
• 2 minute walk 1,2,3 Train line
• 4 min. walk to express trains
• 2 stops, or walk to Central Park!
• walk to Riverside Park, Riverside Cathedral

★ BOOKING ★
Once your reservation has been confirmed, you will be sent detailed directions on how you can get to my apartment from any airport or transit station. You will also be emailed a House Manual that includes all information you may need for the apartment including wifi passwords, local restaurant recommendations and nearby grocery stores.
I have to have a couple in addition to what's listed above. ;-) Please follow them to make living in the apartment easy.
1. Please keep the apartment tidy (kitchen and bathroom). If you cook, be sure to do your dishes and wipe the counter. Please don't leave a bunch of hair in the shower! (use TP to pick it up!)
2. Please don't eat my food. You can use my condiments and coffee, but not the food.
3. Remove your shoes at the front door, wearing shoes in the apartment brings in dirt from the street. The cleaning lady sweeps and mops the floors regularly. There is a dollar store next door if you want to buy a $2 pair of flip flops to wear in the apartment.
4. Turn off appliances before you leave the apartment for the air conditioner pr space heater. These consume a lot of electricity.
5. Additional charges:
(a) if you arrive with more people (including children) than you book for, you agree to pay $50/night/additional guest. It's important that you speak with me before booking for more than 2 people to make sure wither the other bedroom or living room is available.
(b) The cleaning fee is low because most people are tidy and leave the bedroom relatively neat upon departure, and do not want a new towel every day. If you prefer to leave the bedroom or apartment (ie: dishes) in an untidy manner, you agree to pay an additional $50 for a heavy cleaning service. Note that I pretty much never have to charge people extra, but this is here for in the very rare instances that I do.
(c) I am flexible with check-in and check-out times, I think this is a great benefit of using Airbnb, however if you would like to arrive in the middle of the night, check in before 9 am, or have an unusually late check out, you need to ask me before booking. I reserve the right to charge $50 for these challenging check in and check out times.
