If you like to cook, hike, swim, visit farmers markets and be surrounded by animals, this is the place for you. Woodridge is a rural community located in the southern Catskill Mountains. It is the place to get away from it all.
We are located on a farm in beautiful Sullivan County, close to Bethel Woods and the Catskill Park.
This is the upstairs of a 1930's farm house. There are three bedrooms (one queen, one full, and two twins/king) and a yoga room. High-speed internet is Outlier Inn Guests. There is an electric kettle and toaster oven to make snacks and tea. A full kitchen is not included but there is access to an outdoor stove and BBQ. Pricing is per room, so if you would like the whole apartment, please inquire and we can work out the price depending on how many people will be staying and availability.
There are many animals on the farm. Merino sheep, alpaca, angora goats, angora rabbits, alpaca, oberhasli dairy goats, chickens (running free so please leash dogs!), one cat and a dog named Lali! There is a greenhouse and vegetable garden with seasonal produce available for purchase. There is a pond here for the kids and doggies to go swimming in as well as the park and lake across the street.
There is a full-service recording studio on the premises outlierinn as well as a fiber-arts workshop space, where fiber from our Angora bunnies is shorn and hand-spun into winter accessories ambikaboutique. No animals are harmed in this process!
Guests are encouraged to explore the 12 acre property, relax by the pond, cuddle the bunnies, sheep, alpaca and goats, and go for a hike on the 6 mile rails-to-trails path across the street. Price per night does not include breakfast.
No cats...sorry. Dogs must be on leash at all times, as we have free roaming animals. Dogs may not be left in your space while you are not present. The Neversink Unique Area is a great off-leash area for your pup to roam free.
We are extremely energy conscious and expect you to be as well. All doors and windows must be closed when the heat is running. Thermostats must be set at 60 degrees when you are out exploring and kept at 68 max when you are inside. If excessive energy is used we will use your deposit to pay for the additional costs.
Be mindful of turning off lights and computers.
No smoking indoors.
As we are a farm and things get dirty fast, we ask that you please leave your shoes at the door.
Here at the farm we compost and recycle everything that we can. We have a compost area in the garden.
ORGANIC only scraps can be fed to the sheep and goats. (please ask us to turn off the electric fence or feed through the blue gate.) They love banana peels, most all fruit peels, and any greens and herb stems. The egg shells can be crushed up and fed back to the chickens for calcium to produce more :) Absolutely no onion, avocado or pits.
Paper, plastic and metal must be recycled. Be mindful of the trash you create, if you have questions please ask.
Please do not pick anything (veggies, berries, flowers, etc.) unless we are with you. Our eggs, vegetables and fruits are available for purchase.
If anything gets stained or broken, please report it asap. Don't be shy. The earlier the better, as stains set in.
Please be careful of the electric fencing that surrounds the animal pasture!
Guests have access to the many shared spaces on the property. Please keep these areas clean and respect others that are enjoying them.
