Es cómodo y amplio, tiene una ubicación excelente y la atención de doña Rosita ayuda a sentirse completamente a gusto. Disfrutamos cinco días sensacionales en Oaxaca!

Large, generally clean apartment in a great location. Oaxaca Lending Library, which is a great resource for Oaxaca orientation, education and social programs is just three blocks away and Alcala, the pedestrian street is just a few more blocks. Llano Park is also just a block and a half away. The double bed is hard, rather like a mattress pad on a brick. Worked ok for me, bit my wife had some neck and shoulder issues from it. Overall, a good value, though we wish it had more Mexican "flair."

We loved the apartment. It was spacious and well suited. Favorable the 2 bedrooms with our own bath and looking out to the patio, there was not so much street noise and also shade through the patio. I loved the big tulip tree in the middle of the patio. It would be nice to have a table and some chairs in the patio under the trees. Rosa and Rosita who came to clean twice a week were very helpful with advice and always friendly and kind. We also liked that it was only one block from the Llano Park - every Friday there is a big market, and 20 minutes to walk to the Zocalo. We would like to suggest that the kitchen utensils were quite old and need some renewing, especially the frying pan which was rusty. All in all we were very content staying there and would recommend this apartment to our friends.

The Santa Elena Apartment is in a great location in our opinion. We enjoy the Llano Park area and everything you need is right around there without needing a car. If you are energetic and enjoy walking the Zocalo is an enjoyable stroll away. All said, a great place with just a couple of suggestions. For as nice a place as it is I will strongly suggest the owners step up to the plate and replace the horrible beds. Particularly for United States standards the beds are ridiculously hard. I know beds are expensive in Mexico but the investment would pay for itself in repeat customers. As for us we will consider staying again but we might just as easy look for somewhere else with hotel quality bedding. Second, bring earplugs as one of the more permanent residents has a tendency to bless the entire complex with his choice of music (early in the morning). Outside of that, a great place, nice folks, good value for the money and great location.

We arrived late at night and were greeted and oriented immediately. The apartment was clean and matched the photos; linens were on the beds and all was in order. The neighborhood/location was great--Llano Parque and Santo Domingo to our west and a good mix of local coffee shops and cafes to our east. Close to the Lending Library and main thoroughfares to the Zocalo. We were pleased with the maintenance of the apartment and courtyard during our three week stay. Thank you!

We were three of us and the apartment was big enough for us. Each of us could get a bed. Great location, clean space and friendly and helpful staff. They were kind enough to keep our luggage while we were gone to Chiapas for a week. The amenity is minimum, so you will need to get your own toilet paper (only one roll comes in the beginning) and soap. If you plan to use kitchen, there are pots, pans, plates and cups, but you will need the rest such as soap, spices, coffee maker if you want to make coffee, etc.

We loved staying at Santa Elena Apartment. The unit was exactly as described by photos and is accessed through a lovely, shaded courtyard. We loved being a block from ever-lively (and lovely) Parque Juarez and enjoyed the 10-minute walk to Santo Domingo as well as discovering the dozens of good restaurants within a few blocks. The two housekeepers of the apartment complex were very kind, hard-working, and friendly, and their hospitality really made our vacation--although our lack of Spanish made things a bit difficult. We have stayed many places in Oaxaca and realize that noise is an issue everywhere. Most of the time the apartment was quiet, though the outside street was noisy for an hour in the mornings, and a friendly bar next door plays loud, but very pleasant, music some evenings. We would not hesitate to return. The apartment was our home away from home and we were very happy there.
