My place is close to the unfettered, pristine beauty of the Smokies, SandyMush gamelands, Artsy West Asheville and utterly charming downtown Marshall. You’ll love my place because of the outdoors space, 40 acres of hiking private, primitive hiking trails, the branch and creek, the milk goats and the clear starry nights. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids).
There are several things you should know about our place before booking: 1. We have no electricity or cell phone service. So this means you should arrive in the daytime and via our directions as GPS doesn't get you to our place and you can't phone us when you are close. 2. We have a dirt road leading to the yurt. If you have a regular sedan, its best to park at our gate and hoof it to the yurt. Most trucks and suvs make it to the yurt just fine. 3. We have a self-composting toilet and a rustic outhouse. This means you poo in a bucket and cover it with sawdust. The shower water you hand pump from the well, then heat on a propane stove. We DO have a heater in the yurt for cold nights, but not in the outhouse, so keep that in mind. IF this sounds up your alley ( WE REALLY DIG IT) then come on out, we would love to have you. We have a 4 month old and we stayed there for a month with no issues. Just depends on how "Little House on the Prairie" you are:). Let us know your thoughts!
