This old Railroad house was built in the 1880s by the Savannah & Memphis Railroad to house the foreman/workers of the RR. The railroad came through the center of Waverly until 1926, (Central of Georgia Railroad) when all trains were rerouted north of town. In 2000, U.S. Hwy 280 bypassed the town to the south. The citizens of Waverly were so happy to have the large amount of traffic rerouted, there was a "party in the street" and The Waverly Old 280 Boogie was born! It has since been relocated to The Standard Deluxe music stage which is about 500 feet to the west! It is within 15 miles of one the RTJ Golf courses & Auburn Football & Auburn University. Lake Martin is about 30 mins. west of Waverly. Close to the action but a quiet place to stay!

I am available by phone ( call or text) during the entirety of the stay. I live in Waverly, so I am close-by if needed.
No smoking. No pets. No parties or events.
My family moved to Waverly in the 1850s. I grew up here, went to Sewanee and UTKnoxville for college and graduate school in natural resources and forestry economics. My husband, Sid, and I moved back to make Waverly our home. We have two daughters. I enjoy nature (all of it), cooking, being as self-sufficient as possible, & Waverly's history and future.
