Thank you very much for your feedback. I am sorry that the Villa did not meet your holiday standards.
The house is located in a private street which makes it very quiet and private. This is very good for guests who want to be private but might not be ideal for those who want a buzzed neighborhood but certainly not depressing. In walking distance there is everything you might need (cafes, restaurants, mini markets that are open until midnight, buzz, etc).
Regarding the power station it is there for years and none of the guests (or our families that live in the neighborhood for decades) have experienced smelly or polluted air. The whole specific area is surrounded with hotels, cafes, restaurants, and beach bars and if the area or the air was polluted the whole area would not be evendeveloped as touristic place at all. In fact the beaches in front of the Villa have won blue flags for the fifth consecutive year. Sorry about the cold water (the sea is not cold, only the river is and thats because its waters come straight from the mountains).
Sorry for the windy days, it was strange for all of us too to have experienced strong winds during these days, but who can control mother nature?
Hope the rest of your travel experience in Crete was better in general since crete is a wonderful island full of magical places and warm welcoming people.
Wishing you all the best
and happy travels,
