My place is close to the town of Cygnet. It is only a short walk into the town along the shoreline. You’ll love my place because of the views over Port Cygnet bay and its sailing club. The cottage dates from 1900 and has many original features combined with modern conveniences. It is in a quiet and private location surrounded by an established garden. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and groups.
The cottage is ideal for 2 or 3 couples travelling together, or an extended family. As well as three bedrooms, there are 3 living areas. The kitchen/dining room is spacious, light and airy and has french doors opening onto a large deck with outdoor setting and BBQ. There is also a cosy lounge room with a wood heater for those cooler days or nights. At the northern end of the cottage there is a sunroom which runs the width of the house and has all-day sun. The bathroom has a large shower and separate bath and there are 2 separate toilets. Your Tasmanian hosts, Lisa and Rob are very familiar with their home state and are happy to offer travel tips and suggestions for your stay.

Breakfast provisions are provided. As well as the basics such as bread, eggs and bacon, your host, Lisa is a keen foodie and gardener so you can also expect some fresh herbs, homemade jams, preserves and bircher muesli, depending on what seasonal produce is available.
Guests are welcome to contact me during their stay, and I will be calling in from time to time to replenish provisions.
I am retired Cygnet postmistress. My hobbies include cooking, rowing (sculling) and I am a craft tragic. I love to travel and live with my husband, Rob and Australian Terrier, Sam.
