Welcome to my urban-country hillside oasis. Tucked away above the buzz of city life, with lots of outdoor space and garden to enjoy. Close to Downtown LA, Pasadena, Highland Park, Eagle Rock, great food/shops/bars/music, beautiful mountain hiking and other activities. Wake to chirping birds. Relax!
Since I love to cook, my kitchen is well appointed and yours to enjoy. The living room is cozy, with sofas, art, cable/HBO/showtime and lots of pillows, books and magazines. Two bedrooms include a master queen suite and a second room with a convertible queen bed. Comfortable for 4 people. Bathrooms are clean and fresh, taking a bubble bath is always a treat!
California is outdoor living to be sure. There's a lovely deck to while away the hours. You're welcome to barbecue, bake or smoke some food on my ceramic egg grill. There's a fire pit and outdoor dining area too- roast some marshmallows.
Wireless internet, on street parking, plenty of outdoor space to hang out and relax in the garden. Pick veggies for your dinner from my thriving garden, have a bonfire or just sit on the deck and take in the view. Butterflies and birds are abundant in my garden.
We are in Highland Park/Eagle Rock near many great LA venues and hotspots. Close to Eagle Rock Center for the Arts, wine bars/shops, farmers market Fridays and great restaurants. Near Silver Lake, Echo Park, Los Feliz, downtown LA, Atwater, Pasadena/South Pas. Great hikes and outdoor activities in the area.
Highland Park is a rapidly gentrifying neighborhood. My neighbors are all very nice. Some take better care of their properties than others. People watch out for one another. There is plenty of street parking. You can walk to a grocery store and coffee shop, plus much much more, if you're inclined to walk! You can walk to the Rose Bowl if you're a parade or tournament reveler. You may hear a morning rooster, or an afternoon herd of green parrots. After Memorial Day you're bound to hear fireworks from enthusiastic neighbors. We love it.
Highland Park is in central LA. We have quick and easy access to the (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) and 2 freeways and more. The buses in LA are better than anyone admits; the 81 bus stops 2 blocks from the house, and will take you downtown or all the way to Culver City. Take the 81 bus down Figueroa and hop off at Avenue 56. Walk a few short steps to the Metro Gold Line and head to Chinatown, Sierra Madre, downtown LA, and more.

We are a dog friendly house. That said, three terriers live here already. They won't be here during your stay, however, their lingering essence will pique your dogs interest. Dogs are welcome as long as they don't shed excessively, sit on furniture, or mark inside the house. Extra deposit and cleaning fee will be negotiable based on your specific dog and circumstances.
Safety first! Please read bbq, fire pit, and any other instructions on site.
No smoking indoors. No loud parties. No hard drugs.
My simple pleasures- art, music, food, nature and the garden are what I call home, and I love to seek the same in my travels. By day I work in the architecture+design industry; by night I'm a gardener, a runner, a maker of edibles, a lover of dogs, a dreamer.
Among my favorite things in life are hosting and making my friends and family comfortable and relaxed.
