In the heart of a quintessential Cotswold town, the cottage is a 2 minute walk from Morton-in-Marsh train station & on the Paddington line direct from London. The property is a honey coloured character cottage with working fireplace & refurbished to modern standard. It's central location in the Cotswolds makes it easy to explore all main attractions.
Dating back to the 1700s, this honey coloured, modernised, cosy-character cottage, is located on the high street of the Cotswold market town of Moreton-in- Marsh. The property has recently been stylishly restored and refurbished to high standard, maintaining and uncovering original period features, such as beams, fireplaces and flagstones in the kitchen, whilst opening up the kitchen for a more communal space to entertain family and friends.
The kitchen has new solid oak worktops, flagstone floors, new cupboards, built in oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, and table of chairs for dinning.
The lounge is located off of the kitchen and has a sofa (not for sleeping), some chairs, desk, TV, and a working fireplace.
Steep, and very narrow steps lead to the first floor.
The first floor has a double bedroom, with 4 feathered pillows, duvet, linens and towels. The first bathroom features a roll top bath with a victorian style shower in an Italian marble setting with a gold-copper, modern glass basin.
Steep, very narrow steps lead to the second floor.
The second floor, is the master British-king, size bedroom with duvet, 4 feathered pillows, linens, towels and an en-suite shower that is decorated in marble plaster.
Given that the cottage is very old and protected to preserve original features, some door ways are low, original beams are exposed and original steps are very narrow and steep. The property sleeps 4 adults, but plenty of room if you bring cots for babies.
Feathered pillows, duvets, Egyptian cotton bed linen, towels, soft soap, hairdryer, fan, toilet paper, tissues, cleaning supplies etc. are provided. Please ask if you have any special needs or are wondering if something is supplied.
Parking if free with no restrictions except on Tuesday (between 8.30-4.30pm) which is when the town market takes place. Most days, you can easily park on the street in front of the property, or for the brave, can pull the car up on the verge and park in front of the door.
The property has a stoned garden with a grill that you can use, but please no smoking.

Weitere wichtige Infos
The property is a 17th century grade II listed cottage with the original stairs which are very steep and narrow for some abilities, especially when compared to properties in other parts of the world. These steps are fairly common in the properties in the area, but that doesn't make things any easier for you.
Should you express interest in the property, I will do my best to ask about the group's fitness/ mobility to ensure you have a good stay, or please feel free to ask and I can try and advise.
Please take a minute to read the following information. It is designed to ensure we maintain the highest standards for all of our guests and respect our neighbours' rights. We want you to be happy with the cottage & we strive to offer you a great stay.
The listing states that it is suitable for children / infants / everyone, but this is at your own risk and your responsibility (we are happy to advise as needed so if you have any questions, please get in touch). The steps are very steep & narrow so please ensure that this will be OK for everyone in your party. The top floor has steps directly off the master bedroom so this (and other areas in the cottage) might not be suitable for curious, unsupervised toddlers.
The property is not baby proof so please ask me questions if you need further information prior to booking.
Dogs are welcome and perfect for exploring the Cotswolds. We want to continue to offer this option (there have been a couple of issues) and therefore:
- please advise prior to booking
- clean up dog mess by bagging and throwing in the bin before your departure
- we understand dogs bark, but please do not bring your's if they bark excessively / continuously since the cottage is amongst residents.
The number of people staying must not exceed the maximum number agreed at the time of booking. If we become aware that the number of people staying exceeded the maximum number agreed, we reserve the right to ask the entire party to vacate the premises.
