Fantastically unique and comfortable, designer 2-bedroom home in the fun and friendly neighborhood of East Austin. Stay only a 10min walk from downtown, Lady Bird Lake, Rainey St and E 6th street. You'll be a 10min drive from the airport, UT, Zilker Park and the Circuit of the Americas track. You'll really find yourself in one of the best locations in the city for whatever your plans!
We've worked hard on building our little house, and we hope you enjoy it as your home away from home in Texas. As you'll see during your stay and you can read about in the photos, we've paid a lot of attention to detail.
We've focused on making a space that mixes modern minimalism and traditional Texas... as much as that's possible:) But more importantly than form, we focused on function. You'll find everything you need at our little house - easy access, security, super fast fiber optic wifi, storage for luggage and clothes, carefully placed outlets for charging, reading lights, comfortable furniture, ample linens and towels, appliances, lots of natural light, dark blinds to keep that light out, and of course a very, very clean space.
We hope you'll find this as your tranquil place of repose between exploring Austin, or as somewhere you can comfortably work from as you're doing business in our city. Again please see the photos for more details. We look forward to hosting you, and welcome to Texas!

East Austin is a mecca for excellent food and drink. There are really too many places to list. Most of them are walkable from the house. We recommend going to the following sites for ideas and recommendations: austin.eater, austinfoodbloggers, and the hashtag #ATXBestEats on Instagram.
Character-wise, the neighborhood will seem like a mixed bag. It's quite safe, but as you'll see, it's in the middle of a transition phase, so you'll see brand new houses or modern design-y houses like ours, sitting right next to old, charming and interesting homes from the days when E. Austin was uncharted territory for new development. It makes for a nice, authentic neighborhood that abides by the Austin slogan of "Keep Austin Weird".
As of October 2016, Uber and Lyft still aren't operating in Austin since their dispute with the City in the summer of '16. Cabs, pedicabs, walking, local city bicycles and occasionally the metro are the best ways to get around.
If you're driving, we have 1 reserved parking spot.
Other Things to Note
We have neighbors close by, so please respect them by keeping your noise levels low. There are plenty of good bars around if you're in town to get rowdy!
