Weitere wichtige Infos
The property is available all year round, but be aware that if you stay in winter, Nagano is very cold. This property is an old farm house and so does not have central heating. We have a wood fire stove and kerosene heaters to warm the property, but mornings can be very chilly until someone gets up to turn on the heaters and starts the fire again!
Dishes should be washed up before leaving the premises.
All garbage is to be placed in the appropriate bins that are provided. In Japan, garbage is recycled into 5 categories. Burnable (i.e. paper and cardboard), Non-burnable (i.e. plastics), Metal, Glass and Raw Garbage. Raw garbage is to be left in compost area of the vegetable garden.
Parties and small events are acceptable. But although this is a large house in the country, we still have neighbors. So noise should be kept to an acceptable level after 10pm.
There is parking for three vehicles on the property. Please do not park elsewhere in the village. If there are more than three vehicles in your party, please let us know beforehand so we can make alternative parking arrangements.
In the colder months, heaters should not be left on all night.
Use of outside fire pit, inside wood stove and BBQs is permitted, but please monitor at all times and make sure that you extinguish any fire before leaving. Do not leave fires unattended.
Hi I'm Mayuko and I was born and bred in Nagano. I have also lived in Australia for over 10 years, where I worked as a chef and had my own catering business.
I really want to show visitors the beauty of Nagano and am happy to help translate to help people experience authentic life in country Japan.
I love travelling and my favourite places to visit are India, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. I also love gardening, massage and snowboarding.
