Holme-next-the-sea has a village pub & childrens' play area and a lovely wide, sandy beach. It is just a mile either way from Holme to the villages of Thornham & Old Hunstanton. Thornham has an excellent delicattesan, cafe and shop, Drove Orchards farm shop and Eric's fish and chip restaurant. There are also public tennis courts, a playing field and three great village pubs. Old Hunstanton has a fabulous sandy beach, a beach café, two fabulous village pubs, a gourmet restaurant and village post office. Norfolk Wildlife Trust manages the Holme Dunes Nature reserve. Peddars Way, the Roman road stretches right down to the coast giving opportunities for great walking along with the North Norfolk Coastal Path. The beaches at Brancaster and Old Hunstanton are both less than 5 minutes drive.
