Common rooms and facilities
Since two living rooms on the first and second floors, a toilet, a kitchen, and a bath room are common space shared within guests, please clean up them as much as possible for others’ comfort.
Once in a week we will provide a new bed sheet to long-term guests. If you get a new sheet please change the old one by yourself and put it inside a laundry box in the living room on the second floor. Except for the bed sheet there is no room clean-up service during your stay. Garbage should be brought to the big dust bins in the kitchen. When you do so, please separate it into combustible garbage and recyclable cans/bottles. Do not put anything poisonous into the combustible garbage bin, such as a battery or a fluorescent light.

Our guesthouse is a renovated old traditional Japanese house built in 1950’s.
Only within 3 minutes on foot you can enjoy a Spa house (“Sento” in Japanese) where you will bath in a big hot tub with a sauna (a steam bus).
The living room on the first floor of the house is a traditional Japanese-style Tatami room (“Washitsu” in Japanese) with a presentation corner (“Tokono-ma” in Japanese).
We have two bedrooms, one with flooring (“Yoshitsu” in Japanese) and one with Tatami (Washitsu).
Yoshitus is equipped a bunk bed for two persons. It can be shared by two persons or occupied by one or two persons with a room charge.
Washitsu is equipped three futon beds, which are folded during daytime and expanded to sleep in the night. Upon request we have one more futon set as an extra bed. A family or a group of friends would be suitable to stay

The manager of Locokokoro is acknowledged as one of “Kyoto Ambassadors”, which means that she is strongly willing to transfer her deep and enchanting information of Kyoto. Although her English is not so fluent yet, her enthusiastic willingness will break the language barrier.
She is good at putting Kimono to those who want to wear and so please ask her if you want to try Kimono and take pictures (although this service is provided only when she can do so and numbers of Kimono are limited). 1hour/1000yen
If you want to reserve a nice Japanese restaurant near by or enjoy Japanese dance performance by Maiko (Geisha), please consult the manager who will introduce you the best way based on your detailed need.
In case of emergency the landlord is staying in the right-hand side of the house.
Since he can speak English quite fluently, please contact him in case of trouble.
