Located in a side road a few blocks away from the city center of Puerto Princesa, this three bedroom bed and breakfast is tucked in the first floor of the family ancestral home. Everything from the gateway canopied with vines, the lush garden, the mayna bird that welcomed guests with its whistling, and the simple but thoughtful finishes of the accommodation made for a homey ambience. The staff, though new and inexperienced, was very accommodating. Our host Estrilda, more than made up for this by personally checking in our itinerary, resolving issues and even driving us to her favorite Vietnamese noodle house during one rainy night when we were craving for comfort food. Thank you, Estrilda and staff for making us feel very much at home in Puerto Princesa!

We absolutely lived staying at Estrilda's place. Checkin was easy, great communication throughout. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The host and her team catered to our every need, and went way above and beyond what is normally expected. As far as I'm concerned, this is the only place to stay in Puerto. Great for backpackers, singles, and families, you won't regret trusting your accommodations to Estrilda and her team.

We stayed at Estrilda's place for a couple of nights. She came and collected us from the airport which was very nice and bit unexpected. The place is a short drive from the airport and located behind a sleepy hostel. There are three separate rooms and a kitchen/dining area, all of which are a bit more spacious than the average filipino accomodation. The place was clean but it was difficult to keep the mosquitoes, ants and cockroaches out of the rooms. Along with the bugs the biggest issue we had (it was on a comment that i read before booking, but was worse than i expected) was that there are 3 roosters in the area immediately outsite the rooms. I recommend having earplugs handy if you want to sleep between the hours of 4.30 and 6.30am. They also have a myna bird which i liked, although it doesnt talk much but has a very piercing wolf whistle. Estrilda's staff also run a small cafe/canteen on the premises, which is good if you have an early start as not much is open in town before 8am. Estrilda also arranged our trip to underground river for 2000php per person which included everything other than the add-on experiences (zipline/mangrove tour). Fyi; there is no swimming allowed at underground river but it is best to wear flip-flops and shorts as you do get wet halfway up to your knees getting on and off the boat. The accomodation location is good - just a short walk from the Rizal Avenue or baywalk area. Getting a trike up and down Rizal is also easy (should be approx 10php per km). As for places to go: the craft brewery (Palaweño brewery) is nice if you like beer - very welcoming and chatty host there. Kinabuchs is a nice and well priced filipino restaurant, try the 'giseng giseng' it is a bit spicy though.

Estrilda did an excellent job of communicating and helping us set up our trip! She gave us connections for all our tour booking and transportation. The house is a great place for a family or group. The rooms are arranged with 2 singles and 2 rooms of 3. As when traveling, small issues arise (running out of TP, no water pressure, etc.) but Estrilda and her staff responded quickly to our slightest needs or wants. The place was very clean and well taken care of and an easy walking distance for transportation and places of interest.

Im a simple person with simple likes and simple happiness. Helping people is my passion.
Having a transient houses are a blessing that I can share to people that wants to stay or feel at home in a remote island-Palawan.
Im very thankful that with this kind of blessing I can employ/ giving a chance to non educated staff to send their sister or brother to school, and help their family.
I don't consider this a business, but a blessing, because my priority is to help, that is why I believe that every guest that booked in one of my property is a blessing and all are God sent. For us to continue helping others.
I and my staff may not be perfect as a host, but by Gods help, we are trying to give our best and excellent service to each and everyone.

Helping our guest to be relax and able to experience the beauty of nature at the cheapest rate is one reason why we still exist.

My life's motto... what mind can conceive, you can achieved...
