The place is on the second floor with a porch and a view. It is located one block from the entertainment district and close to restaurants and dining. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
The house was originally built in 1850 with a major renovation in 1900 when tin ceilings and wrought iron porch were added. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and referred to as the Philippi-Mastin House. My partner and I occupy an addition (totally separate) that was added in 1980 out the former stable and kitchen for the house.

I'm retired and I am available for advice about downtown. We have many local attractions as well as a active night life close by to enjoy. My partner is a school teacher and unfortunately, he has to work!

I would suggest checking out the USS Alabama Memorial Park! Of course as a retired military guy I'm partial to it. We have our own battleship, submarine and numerous aircraft and tanks. A cool suggestion would be to take the Duck boat tour. It gives a great overview of the city and you go in and out of the water on an amphibious vehicle. There is also the Delta boat tours that go up into our Delta area. Mobile has the third largest Delta in the country.

I'm retired from the US Army after 28 years of traveling the world. I love restoring old homes and giving them life again.
My favorite city is Prague and my favorite movie is "Casablanca." I love cruising the Caribbean and meeting new and interesting people on the ship. "You are only as big as the dream you dare to live."
