Everyone travels for different reasons and with different expectations. I work in the film industry. We carry weird, crazy variable hours. All I wanted was a long term comfortable place close to midtown where I could shower and sleep to reboot each day during the week and a quiet place to rest and recover on weekends where I would not be bothered by noise. For these specific reasons and my personal needs, I rate this location five stars. Having said that, different travelers might look at this location through an alternate set of eyes. I was asked to park on the street and each day walked up or down a steep driveway to a long set of stairs to or from the studio apartment below the garage. Thus, the location may not be ideal for people with small kids or mobility issues. For the record, I barely heard the cars come and go, only the occasional door closing. The unit is isolated in more ways than one. I have Verizon and found it difficult to establish or maintain phone calls while inside the studio apartment. I usually had to go outside to carry on a conversation, which was not ideal, especially when it was raining. I usually ended up using (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) on the Wi-Fi signal. The washer/dryer access was also limited to times when his other unit was unoccupied, which was rare. While there is a coffee maker, microwave, sink, glasses, plates, cups, flatware, and a mini fridge, there is no real way to make meals other than cold sandwiches or microwave frozen entrees. A quick trip to target and $75 later I had myself a hot plate, toaster oven and waffle maker, which made the subsequent trip to Publix more logical and brought healthy variety to my weekend meals. It can be bright by the bed day or night, as there is a large 6' x 8' window next to it, and above that window is a motion light which sometimes came on randomly during the night. I use a sleep mask during the day, so it was not such a big deal to wear it all the time, but not everyone does. When it rained, which it does often in Atlanta in July and August, there was a leak in the wall by the kitchen drawers that caused a 3 foot diameter wet spot right by the bathroom entry. I made Robert aware of the issue and I believe he plans to fix it now that I have moved out. Nonetheless, I left the provided dehumidifier running 24/7. You do have to remember to empty the water from it, as it has an auto shut off when full. While there is plenty of storage for your food, clothing and hanging space, if you are 5'6" or under, the bathroom mirror is basically pointless for assessing anything other than your hair. I went to IKEA and purchased a full length mirror and left it leaning against the wall next...

I recently stayed at Robert's. The experience was not what I would expect from someone with such high reviews. He knew of a water leak when I checked in but had not done anything about it yet. By the time he had the leak fixed, there was mildew growing in the drywall and carpet. He also left a partially used bar of soap in the shower from the previous tenant and it had a bit of mold on it. He's a really nice guy but a subpar host.

We had a great stay at Robert's Air BnB. He's a great host. Would definitely come back to stay on my next visit to Atlanta.
