You are a quick 5-6 minute two-block walk from the beach and are right next to all the amenities of the community including an unbeatable lagoon styles resort pool area, hot tub, grill and tiki hut bar. Destin Commons shopping center and Whole Foods are a short walk from the house. We love our home and are excited to let you fill it with more joy, laughter, and memories!
Customized light scheme for the house exterior? You got it! Your wedding color scheme, pink and blue for baby showers, red white and blue for July 4th...this is why we named our house "Light of Mine!"
Our home is the largest and newest construction renting four stories in Villages of Crystal Beach. The home is the best home in the best location in Destin. It has 13 beds, 8 HD TVs, and every amenity- if another house in the Villages of Crystal Beach community has an amenity, we have it plus more!
On the first floor, you have a large bedroom with a queen bed, and full bath. The living room features a 65" HD TV with a Samsung surround sound bar system and a queen sofa bed. PlayStation and board games are also available for guests to use. Our kitchen features only the top of the line appliances including a Keurig, toaster, slow cooker, low-decibel washing machine, stainless steel refrigerator. Our laundry room has high-end washer and dryers.
For families with children, we have two high chairs and two pack 'n plays.
On the second floor, we have one bedroom with four large adult-size twin bunk beds with a full bath that has a shower-tub combo. The second bedroom on this floor, which has a door leading to the balcony that is perfect for lounging, has a a wet bar, a king bed, and a bathroom that has two sections- one with a tub, walkin closet, and his-her sinks, and a second area with a closed-off shower and toilet.
The third floor has a large living room with a wet bar and state of art wine fridge, another large HD TV, and access to the third floor balcony. The first bedroom has a queen bed with access to a full baths. The second bedroom has a full-twin bed bunk.
The four floor loft with a beautiful spiral staircase has a nook area (where we are adding a twin sofa futon) and a large room with two twin beds and two trundle beds.
All bedrooms have an HD TV. We purchased the fastest internet plan available and also added internet boosters throughout the home.
We spent thousands of dollars on our landscaping to clear an access point from behind our home to a beach volleyball court and for our guests to have faster access to the beach. We have two large boxes of beach gear for our guests to use as well as small patio we are currently setting up to allow for families to sit behind the home to face a grassy easement area where the kids can play; they don't have to play in the street. There is also an outdoor grill.
Can't top this home! We are booked until spring of 2018 and are accepting 2018 bookings!

We have YOLO paddle boards for guests to use! Fully equipped home with all the details to make your stay a true vacation down to the HD television, Soundbar sound system, Keurig, grill, baby items (e.g. crib, stroller, high chair), and so much more. 2 living room TVs have cable and smart tv capability. 6 bedrooms have most updated smart TV capability. We have a WII, PS4, and Nintendo system. The beach and pool are the best entertainment, but in case it rains, we have DVD and video game libraries to provide endless entertainment!

House rules: Following these rules helps us ensure that all guests have the best experience in our home! We do charge for failure to adhere to rules, but aim to communicate with you as much as possible to avoid charges.
1.**Return green pool wristbands to the glass container on the entry table.
2.**Gather ALL trash, debris, food wrappers, aluminum cans, glass bottles, etc, from the house, parking lot
3.**Take out ALL trash on specified pickup dates (Tuesday, Friday). Place trash cans on the edge of the street and end of the driveway. Please leave space between containers as a machine picks the cans up. Do not place trash bags outside of the container.
4.**Strip all used beds and leave sheets and pillowcases at the foot of the beds/sleeper sofa.
5.**Place wet towels in or next to the washing machine (don’t mix white and colored towels!)
6.**Remove ALL items from the refrigerators and clean out any spills inside.
7.**Turn off ALL lights, TV, appliances, etc. before departing.
8.**Load and start dishwasher prior to departing.
9.**Verify grill is cleaned.
10.**Return pool and beach equipment to designated bins.
11.Do not remove ANY sheets, towels, cups, glasses, etc. from the unit. The exception is pool towels which are located in the laundry room. Do not take bathroom towels to the pool or beach.
12.Shake any sandy articles prior to entering unit and before placing in washer. Rinse sandy feet at the hose on the left side of the house when facing the house (next to paddleboards).
13.No colored sunscreen or lotions allowed in home.
14.Clean dryer vent after each use.
15.Parking is available in the home driveway. DO NOT park in another house parking space, on the street, or block another homes' driveway. You will be towed or ticketed.
16.Checkout time is 1000. If your group is not out by checkout time you will be charged a penalty fee equal to an additional day. Check-in time is 4 p.m. If we can accommodate early check-in we will, however, please don’t count on it.
17.Customer Service hours are 7 am to 7 pm. Please do not contact owners outside of this time unless it is an emergency.
18.If at any time during your stay the authorities or owners are called for ANY reason (loud noises, yelling, disturbance, etc.) you will be given the opportunity to comply with the complaint. We will evaluate the situation and reserve the right to proceed with the eviction process. Should the owners receive another complaint of any type, we will immediately proceed with the eviction process. You will lose any monies paid and forfeit your entire deposit. We will NOT tolerate complaint calls.
19.If ANY item in the unit home is missing or damaged, you will be charged.
20.Notify owners if you intend to have guests over. Should you have other guests and visitors in the home, you immediately become responsible for their actions and understand that their actions may cause you to lose your deposit.
21.Bunk beds may be a hazard. No child under the age of 5 is permitted to sleep on the top of a bunk bed. Do not let your children play on them.
22.Parking or riding on property: No trailers, RVs, golf carts, motorcycles, jet skis, scooters (rental or owned) and other recreational vehicles are not permitted to ride or park anywhere inside the community. No parking in street.
23.The owners have the option to send over their representative at any given time (and without prior notice to you) to oversee the protection and preservation of the premises in the event of an emergency. If the unit needs repair/maintenance, we will attempt to contact you to make arrangements for entry; however, if no contact is made, we will allow our representative to enter the unit to make the necessary repairs.
24.Falsified reservations – any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of any advance payment or deposit and the party will not be permitted to check-in.
25.Refunds – there are no refunds for early departure, or failure of utilities or appliances such as HVAC units, TV's or DVD players. If an outage or malfunction occurs during your stay, please contact the owner and we will do everything possible to correct the problem.
26.When using the grill, it is your responsibility to clean after each use. Please cover the grill after each use in case of rain.
27.Hurricane or storm policy – if the national weather service orders a mandatory evacuation in a 'tropical storm/hurricane warning' area, a prorated refund will be given for the period of the mandatory evacuation only. For example, if you arrive on a Saturday, and a mandatory evacuation is required for a 24-hour period beginning Sunday, we will refund you a prorated amount for the 24-hour period only. If there is a 48-hour mandatory evacuation we will refund you a prorated amount for the 48-hour period only, etc. You are not entitled to a refund if you decide to depart early because of severe weather. If you are scheduled to arrive during a mandatory evacuation, we will refund a prorated amount for the period of the mandatory evacuation only. Any guest requesting to change their reservation in lieu of canceling will be allowed to do so without penalty, as long as it is in the same calendar year and as long as there is availability. Rent will remain the same as the original week of cancellation even if it is made during a peak period.
28.Written exceptions – any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance.

We have devoted every bit of loving care to details in our home to share the joyful experiences our family has had in Destin with our guests. Baby showers, weddings, college reunions, family reunions, and many celebrations have graced this home that is a quick two-block walk to the white and emerald shores of Destin! It is a place of light and laughter, which is why we have named it "Light of Mine." In keeping with this theme, our home is illuminated with custom lighting, which colors can be adjusted to suit the theme of your vacation. Built in late 2015 in the coveted Villages of Crystal Beach community, the four-story home hosts the most number of people possible in the community (19 heads in beds) with room to spare.
