Probably my worst Airbnb experience. After booking and paying for the apartment, Roberto writes to me that I have to remember towels and linens. It did not say anything in the profile about that we had to bring our own, so I write to Roberto that we don’t have that. After a lot of back and forth, Roberto drops it off at our place in Buenos Aires, and we then had to carry that with us for a week, before we got to his place in Punta del Este. Normally that would not be a problem, but we where traveling very light, and we now also had a big bag of towels and linens that we had to take hiking and so on.
Would have prefer to just book somewhere else but Roberto have a fairly strict cancelation policy.
When we come to the apartment we fund out that not only did he not have towels and linens, there was also no toilet paper, hand soap or anything else that you would normally find in an Airbnb.
The apartment is a bit outside the city but it has a very nice view.
The worst part was that after we check out, Roberto accuse us of breaking one of the curtains. Luckily we had taking a picture of the view the day we left the apartment – and on that you can see, that the curtains are NOT broken.
All in all a very bad experience.
