Our properties located at the city center with rural authentic atmosphere, close to public transportation so it will be easy to reach. We offer guests an unique experience with local around the area, farming, cooking, and welcoming locals.

Kampung Osing located not far from downtown Banyuwangi, located in a village close to Kawah Ijen (Ijen Crater) with a predominance of green rice fields and populous indigenous Banyuwangi (Suku Osing) is also defined as a traditional village. Each bedroom has a bed enough for two people, the standard bathroom house in the countryside with adequate kitchen for cooking.

I am happy to exchange thoughts, ideas, experiences with new people and make friends with them. For transportation, Kampung Osing very strategic. Railway station, bus terminal and public transport terminal can be reached by foot.

Kampung Osing was established to support the rural economy by optimizing their businesses such as shops, stalls, agriculture, fishing pond, garden. We can also arrange travel demand mainstay tourism destination in Banyuwangi.

For guests Kampung Osing, we offer exciting experiences, unique, fun, and not just stay at home.

The rural authentic village atmospher, friendly and welcoming locals, greeny rice field, guest should experience the area, farming and taste some traditional food is a must.

A 5 minutes drive from Karangasem trainstation, 10 minutes drive from Karangente bus terminal at the city center, and 30 minutes drive to Ketapang ferry.

Thank you Ganda for the great stay! I had a clean room, delicious local breakfast and well organized trip to Ijen! I definitely recommend to stay there if you plan to visit Ijen. From the train station it's just 6-7 min by bike and to the ferry to Bali about 20 min.

Ganda and his friend picked us up from Karangasem Train Station, allthough we did'nt even ask for it. So we were happy we did'nt had to walk in the dark. His Guesthouse is simple but it's quite good to rest for a while. Our room was small (there are bigger ones) but ok, the fan did a good job. There are two western style toilets and three showers, everything was clean. The breakfast was indonesian style and coffe and tea were for free unlimeted. We spent only one night there for come down after a tough Bromo trip and therefor it was perfect. Thanks Ganda, we had a warm welcome.

We stayed 3 nights at Ganda's homestay in order to have a nearby base for hiking up KAWAH IJEN which was amazing and one of the most impressing highlights of our trip. Ganda was very kind, open-minded and supported us greatly with organizing everything we wanted. The prize was ok for what we were offered, however facilities and room are very simple, as it is in the whole little village. After all, we had an adventurous experience on Java but two nights should be enough for Crater Ijen.

the house is okay for one night, when you plan to go to crater ijen! you can make your coffee and you can take a shower. as you should go for the sunrise you need to get up at 00.30 so no need for more comfortable accomodation

Ganda was so nice and meet us in the train station in night. Afterwards we went to Ijan volcano. However the place was not as I hoped, the sheet was with spots, we could enter in house just with out shoes, the bathroom was not clean and the pressure in shower was very low, so I could not wash my hairs properly. Outside the people was smoking and smoke came in the room. :(

I'm of the belief that's this must be some type of satirical guest house. It's relatively clean (bed sheets could bed cleaner) and located close to the train station, but that's literally all it has going for it. Power are outages and poor WiFi, understandable when taking the location into consideration. But keep these details in mind if you need to book your next stay or flight. Then the tours, a nice selection presented in an approachable manner. We decided on the sunset followed by blue fire; sorry not available. In fact, there was only one available (I'm thinking this is probably standard) which didn't suit our schedule, but we proceeded anyway as it was the only option. Drilling at 8:30 just after we arrived back from our tour exhausted so sleep wasn't possible. Has great potential but host is maybe lacking in experience and interpersonal skills. He was the only person who could speak English competently but he wasn't there for most of our stay

Regards,
I am now 23 years old, a graduate of Engineering Physics S1 in ITS-Surabaya. I love to travel to interesting places while looking for inspiration and fresh ideas for me to change into an opportunity to develop myself and my business.

I love the mountains, history, art performance, and listening to music especially ethnic music. I really like blogging, can spend hours to write a blog.

Airbnb, as a starting point to develop my people in the village where I live. This I do to support the villagers and the village economic could grow better.
