View of the creek. Listen to the babbling brook, croaking frogs, and chirping crickets- depending what time of year you visit! There's a good chance you'll see deer in the garden. The plums are out and so are the deer!

Arriving at Arleen's (and Greg's and Kai's) place was probably one of the closest things to coming home we ever experienced on Airbnb. The welcome was warm and firendly, the room and bathroom (and the entire house in general) were very tidy and super comfortable. We were even given access to some breakfast items and there was a cute decorative welcome present waiting for us on the nightstand! The house is beatifully decorated and we really enjoyed staying with Arleen and her family, who were fun to chat with and had interesting stories to tell. Check-in, check-out, and overall communication were flawless and a great help in making our stay as enjoyable as possible. It should be noted that if you arriving at their place without a car you should be prepared for a ca. 20 minute walk to the closest BART (public transportation) station, which was not a problem for us at all, especially since a bus runs right by their house. In fact, Arleen and Greg were so kind to offer us a ride to the BART station, making our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.

Great location for Lamorinda visitors...Friendly folks, very accomodating and knowledgable. Located in a secluded little "valley" off a main street so very quiet, but it can be cold in the house, so don't hesitate to use the portable heater in the bedroom and the electric comforter n the living room. Wonderful and restful stay.

The best Airbnb experience! The house was super cozy, spacious, and beautifully decorated. I loved the kitchen and a lot of natural light coming inside the house. I would highly recommend this lovely house! Thank you!

What a home?! I can almost guarantee you will not leave this house disappointed. Without question, this is a 5 STAR AirBnB. The effort Arleen (the host) went to, to ensure we had a comfortable and pleasant stay was incredible. My stay there made me want to go back! It's the little things (you will know what I mean, once you stay there).

Aloha!
I have stayed overnight in museums, zoos, submarines, air-craft carriers, yurts, hostels, shacks, tents, man-made jungle canopies, and even a shaman's hut (what fun!). Of course, there are also the more common places to stay like hotels and time-shares (boring!) I have travelled both as a civilian and also while in the military. As for my Airbnb hosting style? I am laid-back and will try to feed you on your stay (it's an Asian thing! haha!) I was a professional photographer, have a knack for building things ( I love Pinterest), and am a black belt in Japanese martial arts having competed internationally in kumite, kata and weapons. I was once a Taiko drummer (if you're curious of the Taiko drum pictured), a firearms instructor having worked with local sheriffs and police, and for a very short period of time a bounty hunter (feel safer now?) Currently I work as a Physical Therapist.
Anyhow, I understand how important it is to feel safe and secure, and I can only hope you feel that way on your stay with me.

Safe travels and remember to "Be Alive and Laugh a LOT !" - Mahalo, Arleen
