We loved staying with Dominique for five days. She immediately made my daughter and me feel very welcome in her home. We had trouble finding her house (even though she had sent us directions in advance), so I called her from the square and told her where I was. She walked to us then got in our car and directed me there. The location is wonderful - a short walk down charming, secluded side streets to the city center. We felt very safe. We had a dedicated parking spot and the room is clean, bright, and comfy with a private entrance through the back gate and very nice bathroom (great shower and well stocked). It is also very quiet - we slept great with the window open! Dominique prepared a lovely breakfast with us each morning and, since we were in St. Remy to learn French, she sat and talked with us and even tested us on our verb conjugations. Particularly nice, she did our laundry for us once during the week and, at our request, she made us a lovely dinner (since we were tired of eating out). We felt very comfortable here - our only regret is that we couldn't spend more time. We would definitely stay at La Maison de Dominique again! While labeled a non-smoking room, there was a faint smell of smoke (although we never smelled cigarette smoke directly). It didn't bother us - only mention it for people who may have a sensitivity.
